Can anyone with a Powered By Max oil relocation kit confirm that they installed the oil relocation on their SR20DET oil filter housing with 0 problems ?

I'm setting up the oil relocation kit on my s13 Blacktop SR20DET, upon setting it up I ran into a problem where the oil relocation plate that screws on to the engine screws on fine but has a very very tiny gap between the plate and oil housing because it hits 3 out of 4 of the allen screws that bolt down the Oil Filter Housing.

I'm working with PBM trying to figure out what the deal is and they believe the allen screws are longer than stock size... I have however not changed them out so I'm almost positive these are stock. I even referenced the housing with stock screw depth and they look the same.

I was thinking about resorting to grinding the allen screws, however going to wait.

Here's some images for reference:

Grind down the bolt heads or get new hardware?

Do you have a PBM Relocation kit?

Thanks for your post, however this kit is suppose to work on a SR20 with no problems, if it is a design fault I would like relay that to PBM otherwise atleast confirm the proper resolution if it is indeed an independent issue.

I checked out my buddies s14 blacktop over the weekend (he has a relocation kit on his as well, just not from pbm) and he told me he had a similiar issue like yours. He ended up using different bolts. He still has the "original hardware" from when he purchased his motor and when he showed them to me, they were standard bolts, not allens.

Thanks for checking that out.

Mine is a S13 Blacktop your buddies is a notch top sr (s14) .
I guess it must be the universal design because a different relocation kit also hit the screws for me.

I think I might remove the stock allen screws and put some screws that are more flat.

So I had a chance to do some things today and basically removed all 3 of the allen screws, found that they had 2 washers on them, removed 1 off each screw, bolted it back up and test fitted the relocation kit. Clearance was just enough to screw it on snug.
