so icouldnt post this in the scammer section cause it says im not authorized...so ill post it here...

i sold a gauge cluster on paypal sent the product out and all and i guess when the person recieved the product they went to thier bank and said the payment was not authorised...smdh.... so paypal took the money back and im left out in the cold without the product or money... and i guess it wasnt cover by some sellers protection...

here is the discussion me and dood had... he didnt contact me saying if anything was wrong or anything which pisses me off more..!!

so from now on ill be sending an invoice for anything i sell and i advise anyone else who sells stuff on paypal do the same so your covered fully and if this happens you can get your full money back

Kinda hard to judge without timestamp on the conversation. Is their paypal account setup as "verified?" Technically, you could send a "payment requested" via paypal and use that as an invoice. If they are using their bank account, you could wait until payment is marked as "confirmed" or "approved" (I forgot terminology).

Maybe give him a chance to redeem himself? We have a lot of "broke" people on this forum.

So did the cluster go to the guys address on Paypal? I doubt someone used his info and had the thing shipped to the paypal account owner's house. I'd file a new claim through paypal. That's the reason I only ship to verified addresses.

open a dispute with PayPal. I recently won a dispute, I let a friend use my paypal, because the dude was eager to buy the wheels. Long story short:

Buyer didn't ask for photos of the scratches that my friend mentioned in his for sale thread and the he filed a dispute. I showed paypal the PM messages him and my friend discussed and SMS text file. For 3-4 days, buyer didn't ask for photos of the scratches and I won.
