Thanks to a lot of help from my friends and of course the support of many zilvia members, I'm close to being back up and running. Picked up a clean title S14 for a ridiculously low price with minor front end damage, and was able to completely restore the bodywork using a new headlight, corner light, front bumper, fender, bumper support, and hood (hood being picked up tomorrow :P). All the parts I'm basically getting dirt cheap/ free from a guy who's agreed to sponsor me for the season (http://www.kickhill.com, used to part out a lot of fieros but lately they've been getting mostly nissans and infiniti's. 5 s13's and 1 s14 currently on their lot, with a Pulsar GTiR in the garage :naughty: ).

I'll post the pics of the outside of the car after the hood is on tomorrow, but earlier today we got down to the dirty work: stripping the ugly ass blue/grey interior so I can start wiring everything.

Basically, tomorrow I'm relocating the battery and relay box and battery, shortening the harness, and installing the S-AFC, turbo timer, gauges, and alarm (with ECU cutoff for complete disabling of the car when armed). A replacement coilover damper should arrive on tuesday, but my front whiteline swaybar is toast :-/ so I've gotta figure out what to do about that (Cusco, maybe).

Registration comes tuesday (DMV closed monday), and I bought the car out of state so I get to go through emissions and safety inspection right away. I'll wait untill that's over before I swap the engine to the turbocharged '97 KA (with half the miles of the engine in the car). Thankfully my old engine survived, and the turbo and manifold were spared by mere inches. This time, I'm contemplating changing a few things from my last setup :D

In short, my spring break is sort of ruined, but at the same time comes at the perfect time :)

Once again, thanks to everyone for the consolation and donations!! I'm lucky to be a member of such a great forum :)

You mean like ROLLING THE FUCKING FENDERS?!

LoL. i'm not exactly positive that it was the fenders that did me in. the tire sidewall still looks ok, but definitely a bit worn from the fender. for the most part, i think it was just me being dumb enough to put my summer tires on in February :bash:

Anyways, I'm starting off with a better tire selection, in addition to rolling the fenders :p

like steeles said, panda zenki! hehe. you should leave it like that. just paint the roof and get a black trunk lid, haha.

AceInHole
03-12-2004, 12:13 AM
turnklid is black
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~corrales/carsIM/panda/IMG_7662.JPG
All my spare trunklids are black, and I don't wanna screw the white one up when putting the oem spoiler on it.

Right now the car is still getting wired:
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~corrales/carsIM/panda/IMG_7658.JPG
http://www.engr.uconn.edu/~corrales/carsIM/panda/IMG_7659.JPG
basically redoing the entire harness so it makes more sense :p

the240sxer95
03-12-2004, 12:19 AM
those wires just confuse me :(

what do you do to make it make more sense?

AceInHole
03-12-2004, 12:22 AM
with a battery relocation, the power goes from right rear to right front, then curls to the ignition around the front of the car and through the driver's side fender, and into the dash. the ignition power then goes to the engine harness on the passenger side and curls around the engine to get to the MAFs and distributor. i'm just attempting to shorten the harness as much as possible and run the wires cleaner.

mrmephistopheles

run the wires cleaner.

...more cleanly.
