Just thought I'd share my X-mas from 2<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>0am-5: 30am.
X-mas dinner at clearcorners................yummy, Snapple drinks and Tamales!
Most of the night/early Morn' was spent LMAO on some comedy recordings.
After that it was time to close-up shop..... AND GO DRIVE THE CAYON'S...... oh NO ! I'm not familiar with them ! Can a stock suspension hang; with a stiff suspension......time will tell.
http://kidzelda.freewebspace.com/images/closeshop.jpg
No inside pictures of the clearcorner's workshop were posted, too many top-secret projects in the works......sorry.
Oh NO ! Here comes an S turn, 20MHP is the posted limit, BAH-HUMBA! Following too close gets dust and other shit kicked-up on your windshield. Backing off.
http://kidzelda.freewebspace.com/images/thesturn_comes.jpg
Lets get ready for the turn and speed UP ! ! Notice how bright old_S13 rear lights are, WHOA ! And no, he's not even braking.....or else the 3rd brake light would be activated.
http://kidzelda.freewebspace.com/images/speed-upturns.jpg
And folks, the stock suspension did very well against the very stiff suspension, results may vary with "cheaper" drivers....hehehe, but also, Mike having an automatic, and me a 5-speed also had something to do with it......so it was a fairly even match-up...... NOT !
Thanks for showing me all those cool roads, now, if I could only remember them, then I could go back...hehe.

I live in the city this suck all the good roads are a 45 minutes away. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>. Too lazy to drive up there now.:(.
Hehe funny, looks like someone took spy shots of my car.. :)
Anyway, it was a good way for you to catch on to the local canyons.. nothing too insane, just a nice drive with good cold weather to keep the motors purring..
I had fun, definately hugged some turns and was surprised that you were right behind me.. but then again, I there were other turns that I was surprised that you werent behind me.. usually the ones that were bumpier. :) I guess thats where the stock suspension starts to have problems.. plus.. it was your first run, young Zelda. So, once you start cleaning up your car, fasten your ground wires, and get more accustomed to the local canyons.. then we can put some more effort into it! :)

Yeah, the ground wire has been fixed. The bumpy roads were a little scary at that speed, since I feel alot of slop, and roll when the road is bumpy on a turn. So I chilled out on those, other then that, no complaints for a 11 yr old suspension.
Next time we'll take Glenn, hahahaha
haha i already took glenn for a drive through those same canyons.. man, ask him.. he had the time of his life.. it was like a roller-coaster man. :)
anyway, i give you bigtime props.. it didnt seem like you had too much of a problem keeping up with me (most of the time). Of course, since you are new I have to be careful how fast *I* go .. because its very easy for me to lead you into a turn thats worse off than it appears. Many of those S-turns get sharper on the exits, which really fuck up a LOT of drivers.
Other than the last downhill canyon (benedict canyon), I pretty much knew all the roads and have been driving them for years. Next time, I'll give you a more aggressive drive in my car.. that should be fun!

Yeah but next time, all 3 of us will go...hhe, that should be fun.
I know you didn't push it that much, but I did want you too, and at times when I was on ur ass, I was thinking, hurry up you big puss! !
Ohh, and the Z32 braking power comes in handy for you.....as we both know what happen to me when you come down a hill too fast and the light turns red.....and you're not sure to take it or not.... BTW, do those light polls have cameras?

Mike is just been courteas taking his guest for a good time canyon run. He is a perty aggressive canyon driver, and with automatic I have to give credits where it's due. I recall went to the canyons with him years ago, and luckily I had one of his friends with me that memorize "all" the canyon turns *amazing*. Without his friends guidance, some turns at the exit will come pretty sharp and fast, and I have to say if I didn't have his friends with me, it WILL caught me in a surprise and can be pretty dangerous.

I understand he was taking it somewhat easy.......if he wasn't leading me......... I owuldn't be going as fast. But he is a good auto driver..........wouldn't like to see what he can do with a 5-speed.

I have a question about the taillights? Are those lights lighting up like that or is it just the flash from the camera? You know what I mean. Like how the new BMW's headlight looks.

From the flash, the refelctors.
I acutally was going to pitch that idea to Mike.......about the BMW face lift lights on the rear.

Hehe Wayne, I like how you pop out of little corners in almost every forum I am on.. how the #### do you hide so well! You're slick man..
Anyway, those were some old days.. funny thing is, I had really cheap tires back then.. I am surprised that you thought that was impressive. Those 15" Michellin MXIV tires were a joke, but I really learned how to be very steady with them. Im a firm beleiver in cheap-products teaching you better than top-quality stuff.. because you have to worry more.. which makes you more aware.
With my Bridgestone Re730's, they grip and if and when I make mistakes.. they are much more forgiving.. they slowly lose traction. Besides, they have extremey good wet traction. But still, I am older now and the last thing I would want is Omar or me to hit anything. First runs should always be relaxing.. gotta re-acquant yourself with the canyon. Besides Omar, often times there is water, gravel, or construction on some of these roads.. the last thing we need to do is blast through a first run without checking out the scene. :) We dont need to fly off a mountain top, my car has no wings, let alone ejector seats!
Anyway, some things have changed since then. For one, I dont have power steering.. and I admit, after 4 months now I am still learning to control the car. My confidence has gone up since I intiially modified the steering.. but it still surprises me from time to time. Driving without PS really gives you a LOT more feel, but that also makes you more aware.. more cautious. You feel everything, bumps, water, all in your hands. Before, I used to have to use my rear tires to let me feel the road. Now, I feel the steering wheel slip when I have no traction.. much safer but still it scares you from time to time.
If you ever come drive IN my car, you'll have fun. I think the best part of my driving is when I go over really fucked up terrain.. because when most people slow down, I speed up. On roads that are really fucked up, I enjoy following grooves that I know about.. that many other people dont! I've raced SO many high-end cars (Audi's, BMW's, etc) that follow me pretty well until we hit the hard roads! They cant take the heat and probably dont want to abuse their new car or risk crashing it. But as they say.. when the smoke clears, I'll still be here.. hehe
ps: I have the 5-speed still sitting in my storage, its just a matter of time before I do it. Hmm.. I think I'll swap the transmission soon though, I am very close to having more time and being ready. I think I'll pull my motor to do the swap though. I want to clean some stuff in the engine bay before putting in the nice tranny/clutch.
