Ok so I have a sr20det rwd and Im building it. I bought je pistons and eagle rods. I had the machine shops bore it out and the told me it needed to be decked due to it being a little warped. They took. 010 to get it flat. Will this affect my piston to valve clearance? Will my piston hit my valves or head? Thanks

you should be fine. did you have the oil pump housing on when the motor was decked? if not you're going to have issues with headgaskets.

No I didn't. Can I just have them just mill the oil pump with out it being on the block?

i wouldn't recommend doing it that way. i would def have it milled while mounted since there is a little bit of play when you mount them. not much but after all is done it might be a little off.

.010 of an inch isn't much. but not having the oil pump on at the same time is bad news bears. Put it back on the block and have it decked again.
