i have a 1995 240sx. the other day, my husband and i were driving down the road when the trim and the weather strip underneat the trim for the sunroof flew off and tore to pieces! i called all the dealerships and body shops arouny d- apparently NO ONE in my area can order me the parts that i need! and the ones that can order the parts can only order the entire sunroof kit- glass and all. but i dont need that. the glass is solid. the mounting is solid. the motor is solid. just the weather strip that keeps it from leaking and the trim that holds it in place are GONE! will post pictues ASAP! any ideas where to go? willing to order online if anyone can vouch for website! any help would be greatly appreciated! i have looked through the forum and searched through the threads- but so far no help. also looked through ebay, google, yahoo, most search engines.

Go find a used sunroof with a good trim on it...thats your only other alternative from going to the dealer for the whole assembly.
You can use the sunroof off the G20's too, they have the same part numbers as the mid 90s versions...you'd probably have a better shot at finding one of those in a junkyard than another S14.

hey thanks for the idea. we have been to the junkyards and we found a few 240sxs. but the trim was even worse than ours was! my husband is just thinking about filling it in with bondo and not using the sunroof if we cant find the parts!

Mine was starting to de-laminate, you start seeing the issue on the corners of the glass. The trim is made of fiberglass and old age just makes them brittle. Almost all S14s with these sunroofs have this issue. I'm surprised nobody has come up with a fix or another fiberglass replacement trims for them at this time.

You'd need 91210 as a whole to fix the fiberglass trim, Nissan doesnt just sell the trim. The whole glass runs close to $1k from the dealer last time we checked in here.
NM: Just clicked on the part and its $948 or $821, no idea why there's 2 part numbers now...

yeah when i called the dealerships, they all gave me roughly a quote of $1200. And right now, that is NOT an option. i guess my husband will just have to fill it in and not use it. he wont be happy about that.

I think if your able to use Cylicone sealant that would be better than bondo

i have been telling companies to make a new trim. They will make so much money.

Or a full fiberglass plug that will bolt up to the original mounts would even be better.

Really? lol... Bondo over the glass roof? Tell your husband to step away and let you handle the problem. :picardfp:
