S12 help!

So I've got the chance to buy an 86 s12. It's from a good friend, and it's got 100k, plus it's stick and runs and drives strong. All it needs is an alignment and bushings . He needs it gone so I either buy it or he scraps it :( ..Question is.. I know nothing about s12's. Are there different specs on them ? (motor, etc). Is there anything I should look for ? Ive tried looking on forums and sites for info on them but can't find anything useful . Any information would be helpful (:

You'll probably get a lot of hate on this forum, but I think the S12 200SX has a cool retro look. If it's in good/decent shape, runs and drives well, and you can get it for a fair price than I'd be all over it. I think it came with a CA18?

I can get it for 300 bucks. He won't sell it to anyone else . So I figured instead of him scrapping it, I'd take it off his hands.

s12 comes with ca18det or ca20e pretty cool little car nissans version of the 86 in my opinion

Well 300 bucks for me. Anyone else... Triple that haha. I'd daily it for a little . Give my other car a break. Get the alignment done and do bushings and bearings all that good shit. Lower the shit out of it, and call it a day until I can swap the bitch

hopefully you get an early 86 model and it has a solid rear axle because trailing arms suck...

Well it's a coupe. Kind of disappointed because I wanted the hatch, but either way.. I'm probably going to get it. If I didn't know the kid I wouldn't bother
