i want to know if there are ways to get an intercooler painted. i have a black car and i want the intercooler dark silver or black. powdercoating doesn't seem like it'll work so i'm wondering if radiator paint will work. i had a discussion about this with another 240 guy and that seems like the best way to do it. radiator paint will deflect heat and will not clog up the intercooler fins i don't think. so if anybody else has any more options thats what i want to hear about not why are you doing this or thats gay.

Your only option is anodizing it unless you want to ruin the efficiency of the intercooler.
Spray can = bad idea
Good luck

ok yeah thanks. anodizing is pretty expensive and i'm trying to find other alternatives. i don't want to pay a lot because it was just something i thought about doing. its not really that important i just though black intercooler on a black car would be nice.
or maybe i'll paint it with "car paint and a spray gun" that i buy from total-boost.com. ghey

Contact the guys at Swain Technology. They have a black coating specifically for heat exchangers. This is what I used on my FMIC, as I wanted to make the IC less obvious from the cops.

we have some angry people on here. I think we should have a boxing meet, have people duke it out.
I would also go with the Swain Tech coating. I heard it makes the intercooler more efficient, than hurting it.
