On the Apexi site, they mention engine bored size and what the gasket bore size is.
86mm engine bore is 87mm gasket bore
87mm engine bore is 88mm gasket bore
and so forth.

If someone has bored their cylinders out to 86.5mm, which HG should they go with? Im stuck in the middle right now what to choose.

Technically there is .5mm space choosing the first one, but how much does the gasket squash if any when torqued down?

Metal Head Gasket Nissan SR20DET Engine, Bore: 86mm, t= 0.8mm (S13, S14, S15) APEX Integration (http://apexi-usa.com/shop/index.php/metal-head-gasket-sr20det-engine-head-gasket-2.html)

Thanks!

you couldn't deduce which head gasket to get based on the information provided?

Considering I bored out .5mm, I am now in the middle of which size to buy...

K, you're only .5mm over, so not quite 87mm, which head gasket do you get?
Just think about it for a minute!

So lets see here, apexi head gaskets are a full 1mm bigger than the bore size, do you know how much they spread after being torqued down? I dont have 1mm to play w anymore, I got .5mm, so sorry if I am just being a little careful here.
Last thing I need is a bit of metal hg sticking out in the cylinder.

88mm is what you should've bought...
