kouki.monster
09-03-2012, 05:48 PM
I looked closely and they were messing with them and stripped them out. soooo either roll around insanely low and impractical or upgrade from the eBay coils haha

ugleH wheels got stolen, and:

That sucks man. Where in Washington are you? If your in the north they might make a trip across the border upto B.C. I'll keep an eye out on Craigslist and such. Oh and not to sound stupid or anything but did you actually stretch 16" tires onto 17" rims?

Much appreciated man! I'm in the Kent, Washington area. about 20 minutes south of Seattle. and yes 16 inch tires on 17 inch wheels ;)

Hmm, learn something new every day I guess. The sizes should make it a bit easier to identify if the bastard thief tries to sell them together, or is dumb enough to rock them on their own car...

Stupid Question.
The bead would rip before you can get it fully on the rim. Let alone the tire machine would probably not have enough power to spin the wheel.

you guys are all retards.. there is no way you can put a 16'' tire on a 17'' rim. and if you have ever mounted tires in your life you would know that there is steel belts in the BEAD of the tire (which you are stretching over an inch) and i highly doubt you are strong enough to stretch steel and do it without ripping the rubber.

It is possible. A family I know bought their son an accord for his first car, and one of his tires blew out on the highway. They had 15in tires on 16in wheel. How they managed to mount that with out issue, I don't know, but the parents promptly replaced all the tires to proper 16s.

I forgot that if I don't have pictures I'm full of shit. I saw it with my own eyes. How the fuck someone got them mounted I don't know, my guess it was so they could get it through a quick sale. The car was bought through an auction.
I know when the tire blew out it came apart in pieces and damaged the fender heavily.
As for dc, I lived there for 23 years, screw going back. The only connection I have to va anymore is vadriven.

You are arguing physics, you dolt. Clearly you have no idea how mounting tires works, nor what is and isn't possible.
Have you considered moving to Florida? You would fit right in.

Put me on Ripley's believe it or not then (is that show even still on?) Couldn't give a shit, I know what I saw. Cheap tires, which I can't remember who the manufacture was, put on the wrong sized wheel.
How I don't know, it was bought through a local auto auction for almost nothing, tire blew out and shredded itself a day later. I'd like to know the process in which it was mounted, as you know they had to have battled with it.
As for Florida, it was Alabama where this happend. but this is some zilvia florida shit.
I truly wish I was 16 and trying to make up some sweet as story on the net so I could have awesome Internet fame.

If you somehow able to put a 15" tire on a 16" wheel, congrats. Not sure how you were able to but you did it. Would you like a reward for your greatest achievement?
For the poor soul that is reading this and thinks they're free to mount a 15" on a 16" wheel, just don't do it.

Not possible, having worked at DTC and Les Schwab for YEARS never ONCE EVER has any tire from a 16-inch wheel EVER even ATTEMPTED to be installed on a 17 inch wheel. It is NOT FUCKING POSSIBLE.
Plus-1 sizing, you fucking moron high-school kid from white-trash Kent, does not mean putting a bigger wheel with a smaller tire. Fucking Kent. Let me guess, you retards down there probably still try to street race amirite?
