did you happen to mess with the harness as well, or just swap the motor?
Eramo323

is the battery charged? any of the plugs left unconnected? is the starter clicking at all? blow a fuse or relay?
JaiDaJoker
09-03-2012, 02:36 PM
starters not clicking at all, but it was ckicking before the swap. brand new battery, and there are two plugs behind the engine near the firewall that arent plugged into anything but dont seem to have a place to go. I left harness intact before i swapped the motor

Just because the wires are connected, don't mean sh!t.

Take a bunch of photos of your engine bay and post them to this thread, try not to be so stupid on the internet and give more info. DERP

Find your wiring schematic for the starter circuit. There shouldn't be much in between the battery and the starter. Typically the ignition switch, starter relay, neutral safety switch, and a fuse.

werd, take the starter and get it tested, use jumper cables if necessary. Double check all of the connections!

JaiDaJoker
09-07-2012, 10:56 AM
and in regards to the interlock switch , I was under the belief that sinced these two wires were connected to eachother the clutch wouldnt need to be depressed to start car, thus eliminating the interlock switch?

the plug referred to in the pic has 2 black cables, the one that was disconnected has one white one black, but yea the one that need to be jumped to itself is jumped to itself. Inside the car with no key in the igniton door lamp tuns on and map lights, however when i move to acc they start to dim and the door chime turns into a door click and when i turn to on position it clicks or makes no noise whatsoever
