Hey zilvia,

I've did some searching and can't seem to find an answer, any help is appreciated!

does anyone make a bracket where you can run dual calipers on an s14 with z32 calipers BUT use the z32 rotor?

Yes I realize that Maverick motorsports sells the kit on enjuku but I'm looking for a way to run z32 rotors. I paid way too much for cryo treated z32 rotors and if anybody else is like me their fitment is already maxed out to add another 8mm for the adapter plate and I don't want to run more neg camber.

If any other options are out there and anyone knows please let me know!

Parts shop max has a rear knuckle setup coming that has dual caliper mounts. Maybe that would work?

But he doesn't want a bracket to space out his rotors. That's the problem with his whole idea.

Hit up PBM or George who drives the bule/teal fc in FD. There should be a link on here for setups.

Thought about this myself, but this is in pbm's description "*Uses stock foot brake caliper, parking brake and rotor to maintain stock brake bias and to keep conversion cost down". Also there is no way to rig the e-brake... hmmm

Parking brake = ebrake.

If it uses the stock parking brake then you still have an ebrake.

everyone please let me know when anyone is willing to make anything for the FC chassis. I contacted George M but he doesnt have anything close to production or for sale at the moment.

What? What the heck are you talking about?

How will you rig the z32 park brake if you use the z32 rotors? The pbm knuckle uses the stock 240 brake setup with the willwood caliper for the hand brake. What are you asking? Am I missing something?

I looked everywhere and can't even find a dual caliper pbm knuckle in stock, who knows when it will be back in stock in the us and it's 450 shipped when they do get back in stock

Ask JTP on rx7club. I kow he was building another fc and may be able to guide you.

So the question: is keeping your cryo treated rotors worth the added cost and wait time?

uh.. The z32 parking brake is the drum brake within the z32 rotor....

and it took you all of 30s to not read his original post. He said he doesn't want it because it's a 8mm spacer when he's already tucking. Would push out his wheels too much.

The PBM dual caliper knuckle won't work with the Z32 drum brake. You can still use Z32 calipers, you just won't have a parking brake. The only way you can get it to work with a parking brake is by using stock rear brakes or modifying it to work with the drum brake. Why not just use stock rear brakes with Wilwood secondary calipers?

Honestly, I could say say screw it with the rotors but either way that 8mm is going to ruin everything, and no I'm not running more camber this is a fully functional full suspension car that gets beat like a whore

Yes... but the stock caliper and wilwood caliper won't work with the z32 rotor it's too thick. I guess you could say eff a park brake and run the dual z32 calipers.

depending on how you setup your hydro system ive seen cars use the dual setup with 1 dedicated to their normal braking system and the 2nd is the hydro...then they use a scrunchy or whatever to pull the hydro to a "locking" position thus locking up the rears like a parking brake. problem solved.

I'm confused^ are you talking about LR caliper only to brake pedal, RR to handbrake?

i think he is saying to run your second caliper as your hydro, then when you want to use a parking brake, just put a strap (scrunchy) around it to hold it pulled back.

i was under the impression not to leave a hydro brake locked for long periods of time. But that was just some shit I read online and really have no idea if there is a negative effect.

Oh, I see what you did now, you had tabs welded on to mount up the second z32 caliper.

Yup no problem, welded new brackets for the other z32 caliper in order to run the z32 rotor but before my friend welded it i had a template of where the other caliper was going then i had it chopped off.

How did you get the ears at the exact spot?? just slide caliper over rotor and tack it on?

I bought a template and used it as a guide then had it marked on where the other tabs are going to be welded for the caliper. i used a hub and the z32 rotor to make sure everything was centered. After seeing that everything was were it should be i had someone cut the tabs of the template and welded the tabs.

Stupid question? Why not just put the car in gear when it's parked? No need for parking brake

Just go with the pbm knuckle that fits the dual calipers. Ya they're out Barack but if you preorder pbm is good on shipping their product on time. Ply you save weight, has correction for slammed cars and more....
