Anybody install these? The "silvia" logo is supposed to light up when I open the doors.

Each sill has 2 wires comming out of the indiglo strip. I'm sure you hook these up to the blue wires comming out of the transformer. Then I guess the red and black wires on the transformer are positive and negative and would simply plug into a power sorce. I'm just wondering if anybody has ever installed these in their S14. All the help I can get will be great! :)

**Also, my sills came with just one transformer. Shouldn't there be 2 of them?(1 for each sill)?

Those look cool. Here's my guess on the wiring. It looks lixe the transformer has 4 wires. Hook the red up to 12V constant. Hook the black up to a ground that is switched when your door is open. I know there's one at the cabin light. You can use that to find other places to tap this switch, probably at the facctory alarm if you have one. Or trace it from the switch in the door jamb if possible. Each of the two blue wires goes to one of the door sills. Connect the other door sill wire to ground. it would be a good idea to test all of this out B4 installing. If the transformer doesn't have any markings, use an ohm meter to determine its configuration. Or just power it up and see what its output is. Good luck, and let us know how they work out, 'cus I've been thinking about getting these.

Yeah, I figured out how to wire them up now. Only hard part is trying to find the leads in the car for the dome light or alarm. :(

I went ahead and hooked one of them up to a 12v power supply just to see if they worked. Below are the pics:

can someone please chime in. I know its been done before. I don't have the original transformer. I know one is power and one wire is ground. but i also know that these should not just be directly wired. any info would help.

Google my friend, anyhow what i did was order a set of cheap indiglo gauges from ebay. Took the box, clipped the end off and powered up using that. Worked like a charm. Assuming your door sills are in working condition.
