Alright i'm buying my buddy's 240sx that's already prepped for the ka to come out and an sr20 is going in. One problem i have been looking for the answer to for days pertains to the wiring (I Know)... The issue I'm thinking of is the fact that it's auto-tragic and i will be swapping to the 5 speed of course. I know what all I need mechanically for it to work but can I wire the engine harness the same, but do something different on the lower harness? Should I just wire the engine harness correctly and buy the wiring specialties lower harness? Can anyone point me in the right direction or pm me a link to wiring this? I've seen what you have to do for auto to manual swaps but nothing pertaining to doing one with an sr20 swap at the same time. I'll be putting a red top in if that matters and the car is an s14 zenki 1995. Also I believe the ka harness is cut somewhere when he was taking it out but i'm not sure. I've searched and lurked on here, other forums and google. I'm at this link for the engine harness wiring:Forever Simone: Wiring an S13 SR20DET up for an S14 (95-98) (http://om1kron.blogspot.com/2008/12/converting-s13-sr20-redtop-harness-to.html)

Clearly you haven't done any research.
Use the google.
Frsport has a very detailed writeup, heavythrottle can still be found, nico has one. Do some leg-work before expecting us to spoon feed you.

clearly you didn't read my questions. first off frsports write up is to go into an s13 chassis, and i'm not expecting to be spoon fed.And i have the auto to manual on nico bookmarked. I was asking on a topic that isn't touched as often or found as easy. I know how to wire the harnesses when your car is manual, but i'm stuck since i'm going auto to manual and didn't know what differed. I was looking at the wiring specialties that you can buy and you have to specify auto to manual or not so i figured wiring it wouldn't be the same. I don't know if that just pertains to the lower harness though?

if you have the "auto to manual" on nico bookmarked, do it.
then proceed with the sr swap as normal.
i don't understand what is so complicated.

well i wasn't gonna spend money on a ka tranny when i'm swapping the sr in a few months... so i didn't know if there was a difference in wiring from a ka auto to a sr manual...

unless you're saying to just use the same wiring on the lower harness in the guide on the sr motor.

jesus, all of this has been covered
do 5spd wiring first, aka twist those 2 wires together. for your lower harness, just keep the auto one on, only thing you'll have to do is hardwire the reverse sensor in if you care about that. sr speed sensor is the same as the ka, so that plugs right in.
all other wiring is the same as per frsport.

Special sauce, the KA and SR transmission are the same except for the bellhousings, so you don't have to worry about that part of the swap. Do what is needed for the 5-speed swap and when youre ready for the SR it'll be as easy as hooking up wires, rather than wiring.
