Rubberized Undercoat would be your best bet. They sell it at Walmart and I believe at all other car places like Autozone. I sprayed the underside of my S13 with that stuff and its pretty good, I gave it a thick layer. Here's the link so you can see what it looks like.

I say try out a high-quality bed liner. Rhino liner or something along those lines. They are all designed to be very durable and grippy for their service in beds. Undercoat may not have that durability to scratches and whatnot.

that's what i would like to do but it would cost way more then spraying it myself.

I'm assuming you don't daily this car. That would be awful. Pretty sure 3M makes an undercoat as well, might be worth checking out.

I will probably at some point daily the car, but Jeeps come with some type of rhino liner flooring and they are fine . Why would it be any different in a 240 ?

well this thread can go on forever. you can bed liner the car it will suck because you have to make sure you dont fill the holes where things are mounted. I think the drying time is a little excessive as well. however i would say if your going to bed liner the car make sure you take care of the rust first, and if you want to strangthen your car by stitch welding or welding the seams shut. i would do this before you bed liner the car.

if your trying to save money, buy a can of the roll on bed liner. that stuff works pretty good....
