IACV RB25? Lean or Rich?

My IACV on my RB25 isn't hooked up to any vacuum. It is currently open and just sucks in air. I was wondering if that would cause my motor to run lean or rich. I have a wideband but haven't hooked it up yet. Just want to know if it's safe to run the car while my IACV is open.

it will probably throw it off because right now the air being sucked in is not metered by the maf, on my setup i have a 3/4in nipple right before the throttlebody on the IC piping that its hooked to

Does it mess with performance?

it might just effect your idle, not sure if it will effect performance through out the rpm range
