Wow , I agree, if you want a drift car get a SC300, you can put 100k into that and It will be the shit..
Also, stop being a Noob, along with a Trend chaser
Or save for a house, Let me guess, your 18 or somthing

please tell me youre kidding. if i had 100k to blow i would definitely not invest it in a 10+ year old car. dont get me wrong, i love my car....but i think it might be a bit more tempting to get something newer/more powerful. or if you want to go the more practical route, save it or invest it.

100G's isn't that much these days, don't waste it all on a car....do like dousan is saying spend a little, have a little fun but remember there are other things you could spend on that might actually appriciate in value.

wow, chill guys.
he never said he was gonna blow the whole 100k on the car.
leave the KA alone. just get plugs/wires/change the oil/remove the upper timing chain guide.
get yourself a set of silkroad coilovers through DG Trials.
buy SPL tc rods/RUCAS/toe arms/traction arms.
look around for a good deal on a kaaz 2 way diff. ($895 shipped is NOT a good deal)
buy yourself a seat and harness. if you're tall make sure it's a side mount bucket.
DONE! drift.

If you even spend 40k into a car, you might be able to sell it for MAYBE 30k, thats if your lucky, you will regret it, One day you will wake up and you will be 20 and wonder why you spend all your moeny when you were 16

100k, man I wish I could count that high...
with a hundred grand I would do some fun stuff to my car, but I would also buy an EVO as my daily driver. MN winters make the AWD seem nice. I would still have a ton of cash to put down on a house. The skies would all be blue and beautifull women would follow me everywhere.... ... oh, sorry.

sorry guys i should have mentioned I wasn't going to spend the whole 100G's on the car. I was probably planning to spend about $15k (AT THE MOST). But thanks for the information. If anyone else has any suggestions or opinions to my questions please reply.

Dont waste your money on an S15 front clip. If you are going to spend money on building it up, get a red top. It's cheaper and they still pack a punch. Better yet, if you are getting a 240 newer than 1990, just turbo your KA24DE, it will make more power for much less and you won't have to pull your engine out.
Suspension. more important anyways...

For the record, if you want a monster engine in your car, or if you just want to put in a JDM motor and leave it alone, there are options other than an SR.
for less than 15g's (especially if you can do the work yourself) you could get RB26DETT, RB25DET, 2JZ-GTE, 1JZ... these would all be options for swaps that would net you more power and bling factor than a SR20 ever will. I don't know what kind of mechanical experience you have though. Shops charge a lot for labor nowadays. Keep in mind that the SR swap IS the next B16 swap. You will not be the only one. You will not be the fastest or coolest one either.
I am not trying to tell you not to get an SR, I am just pointing out that you have options. Truly, the SR is good, but there are other fish...
