Ok so after taking an unholy 8 days to finish the swap(and bugging Jeff and a few others a lot), we got it in, and the car up and running.
Install Pointers: ALWAYS USE THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE RIGHT JOB.
A 4AGE input shaft is not a clutch alignment tool! (Days wasted 1)
A jack is not a transmission jack (dropped the thing on my face! Days wasted 1)
Take the motor off its mounts & life will be easier (Days wasted 2)
A bolt that 'kind of fits' on the clutch bracket, will make your clutch pedal fall off in long beach
Initial Thoughts: Watching my friend drive makes me antsy, because the car seems much more fun, and quicker!
My Thoughts: Is my clutch broken? or I am just not doing this right?
I've never driven stick before, and my car just seems so sluggish now(because I can't really get it into first without taking all day). I can't wait until I am able to just stab the clutch and get back on the gas. Also, I think something's funny with the turbo setup, because I won't hit boost in 2nd(after going to 0 pressure it starts to go back to negative #'s Boost leak?), and my psi numbers are bigger too (2 psi more), but the car doesn't feel any quicker!
Oh and special thanks to stilo9 for driving down to show me how to bleed a clutch system.
God I need to learn to drive.
