What are the differenct models of 240's? How do they differ?

89-90 diffrent front end
91-94 diffrent front end, diffrent engine
(All 89-94 came in Fastback as a choice, 95-98 FB wasent an opption)
95-96 early s14 style lights, diff. engine
97-98 late s14 style lights, no sure about engine

91+: KA24DE  155HP

i don't know but everytime someone says do a search i think it's interesting i do a search and NOTHING comes up EVER!  i tried looking for that post i started with the yellow rx-7, and NOTHING came up.  Who does it work for?

works for me probably 2/3rds of the time. Although it takes several trys and often I have to go so general with it I end up looking through about 100 posts but I do find it 2/3rds of the time <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Also guru22 only has 3 posts, he may not even know about the search feature yet...
s13 is any 240sx made from 89-94
The 94 s13's were convertable only.
s13 coupe's were called silvia's in japan and came with an SR20det engine (2.0 litre turbo)
s13 fastbacks were called 180sx's in japan and I THINK came with a CA18det engine (1.8 litre turbo)
There's also something (in japan) called a sil-eighty but I dont' know what that is...
s14 is any 240sx made from 95-98
s14's in japan were also called silvia's and came with the sr20det engine only slightly faster than the s13 sr20det.
s14's from 95-96 came with more rounded headlights
s14's from 97-98 came with more slanted headlights giving it a meaner look...both came with the same engine (SR in Japan and KA in US)
Transient mentioned the US engines, so I won't repeat those. Hope that helped...

u just gotta try searching w/in the topic and the post n narrow ur search down. like just type in &quot;yellow&quot; or something n see if you could find something like that if it doesn't work ne other way.

89-94 s13 as far as us goes redline is 6900? i cant remember its late

89-90 ka24e sohc 140 coupe and hatch available front bumper and seats different from 91-94

91 93 ka24de dohc 155 coupe or hatch

94-convertable coupe auto only alot heavier and not worth it

95-96 s14 ka24de new body lower redline i think it was 6200 or 6500 again its late sorry if im worng on this but its one of thw 2

97-98 last production of us 240's

cat or mad eyes whichever one people call it same engine ka24de

in japan they came with sr20's and or ca18's

i beleive the ca18's were in the fb until 90 or 91 i think someone knows this better

a sil eighty is a s13 fb with a s13 silvia coupe front on it

getting the whole front clip that would be cheaper then getting the s15 front end with an sr20det seperately
