msd 6al into s13

Anybody ever installed an msd 6al into an s13 ka24de? I got my MSD box today and want to install it. I'm using one of their coils too but not sure which one (RECOMENDATIONS!!!!) its for a built turbo ka. thanks any wiring diagrams or links are greatly appreciated and can be sent to [email protected]

here's how to hook up MSD in a KA 240. Cut the wire that goes to the plug under the stock coil (if you intend to use stock coil) leave yourself some slack for future sake. Cut about 2 inches back behind the coil plug. Now connect the smaller red wire(msd) to the black wire(car)going into the harness, and white wire(msd) to the green wire(car).

Now for the coil side. If you are using the stock coil, connect the sleeved up wires from the MSD box (black and orange) to the 2 inches of wire you have sticking out from the coil plug. Black from msd connects to green going to coil, and orange from msd connects to black going to coil. If not using stock coil, connect orange to + on msd blaster coil, and black from msd box to - on blaster coil, and save stock coil and plug for ebaying. The large black and red wires are obvious, red to battery positive, and black to negative.

If this is for a KA24E, you will need MSD part number #8910. This is a tach adaptor, and will cost you 35 dollars. Without it, your tach will not work.

Have fun, and don't mix up those wires... distributors are expensive.

Thanks. I'm checking the MSD site now and will edit this post with an addendum if I find the answer, but what tach adapter is needed for a ka24de?

checked msd. it uses p/n 8910 just like the ka24e
