6 dollar skateboard grip tape! Wet/dry shoe grip is the same....not a chance of slippage. Try it out! It works great and for 6 dollars you can probably do 20 sets of pedals =P

The sparco pedals look pretty nice, but my feet are too big as it is, so I still can't heel toe.
Balieve me, you're not the first to try. :) I made those for my GTi like 2 years ago!
The main problem is that after a while (esp. in the summer) the backing/mounting/sticky side can start to melt, and you may notice the whole griptape/sandpaper start to move.
I've noticed it's most useful on the brake pedal. Clutch is useless (almost) and you're most likely going to have the grip tape slide/melt off the quickest, since there's a lot of slipping and lateral movement when it comes to clutch work.
In all, I've found that it's best to have griptape only on the brakes and gas, or if you're short on griptape, then just the brake pedal. :)

NO! It was mEE! I was first! :hsdance:
Yeah...i'm kinda worried about the whole heat issue and junk...but we'll see how that works out come summer...so far it's awesome.
i'd have to disagree about the clutch one though, i think they're all pretty important to have grip on....well maybe not the go pedal.
one time i was trying to parallel park my sister's civic in the rain and my foot nearly slipped completely off the top of the pedal. her car jumped forward and nearly hit my car LOL I was scared for MY car mostly(pretty selfish i know)
