Does anybody know of any links that show you how to take out the AC unit from your car?

dont know of any, but it is very straight forward, If you have any questions about it, you can email me at
[email protected] I did it in about a half hour, did it last night in my buddys dakota in about 7 minutes, of course I didnt have the quick disconnect tool, so my cutoff tool came in handy, but I dont think our cars had the quick disconnect things.

What bout the belt that is connected to the compresser? What do you do with that?

you just simply take the belt off, there are three belts, I believe that the one belt is just connected to crank and ac, take it off and your set, If Im wrong and it is connected then measure approximate of how much belt you need, then go to auto parts store and tell em how many inches you need, thats what we had to do with the dakota, its a unibelt design, and we took ac off and added underdrive pullies. so we couldnt just go ask for the belt for non a/c dakotas.

Just cut it off. It only connects to AC compressor. My compressor seized and burnt up a while back and I just cut the belt off.
Speaking of removing AC... who here has removed their AC on stock springs? Did it considerably raise the front of the car? Since my AC compressor burnt up last winter and I survived the sumer without AC I will most likely yank the AC over spring break.
