I recently got my car running again and want to get the timing etc bang on, I fitted the cas as per the fsm but obviously you can advance or retard the timing.

How do i know if I need to advance or retard the timing?
The car is a Jdm s14 sr20det, now has a 1.3mm metal hg, straight through 3.5" exhaust, tubular mani, ss elbow, fmic, apexi profec e-01, if any of these things are a factor.

Also what boost am I safe running?

Any help much appreciated,
Thanks in advance

crank it all the way to the right.
run 54 pounds of boost.

(or perhaps you should do some research and consult a legit tuner, since you clearly don't know enough about the subject to be doing your own tuning. taking the advice of complete strangers from the internet is risky at BEST)

It's called a timing light, you use it to line up the timing marks on the crank once you've stabbed the CAS. You're safe at no more than 10psi.
