One Motion FAbrication- Northeast Philadelphia right on byberry road
Contact information
https://www.facebook.com/Onemotion.us

1251 Byberry road, behind the public storage. Drive past the PS building, take the first left, the second door you see straight ahead is one motion.

(my understanding of the public opinion about this shop)
"THE place to go if you want car work done, especially on 240's. Everyone in the northeast goes there"

OVERALL SUMMARY- RECOMMENDED, QUALITY WORK
-GOOD FABRICATION WORK, FRIENDLY GUYS.
-THEY HAVE FRIENDLY SERVICE, WITH ME THEY DIDNT TRY TO SELL ME THE MORE EXPENSIVE SHIT AND GAVE ME REAL SOLUTIONS

why I am doing business with them,
-I jumped a curb in my s14 and bent the hell out of my frame, busted up my front pretty bad, literally totalled the car but i chose to fix it. I was told that these are the guys I should go to.

How things happened in chronological order
-Crash (late may)
- car is brought home, started removing motor, trans, etc so I can get a better look at the damage
-started shopping around for shops that would take on a job like this. Someone suggested just getting a usual "cut and weld/ straighten" on my frame or a tube front. I went with a tube front.

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/DSCN0804.jpg

-every shop i tried getting in contact with either never picked up, stopped contacting me, or blew me off. I stayed calm and collected, I knew i needed to increase my cash flow anyway so i kept working and picked up more hours.
-I found these guys who are 7 minutes from my house, the next day they came to take a look in my garage and give me an idea of what they can do
-they(Ryan and Colin) come over, tell me what i already know and tell me they can handle it. (First week in July) They tell me it would just take some time since they have to fabricate a whole new upper and lower rad support and all the brackets. I asked for a realistic time and the Estimated time given was 4 weeks. Realistic price tag for the front end was around 1500-2000 once it all comes together

(Following week)
-I decide to go with them. Car is picked up on July 11th.

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1671.jpg

-so its been about 3 weeks. I try to get in touch with them, they dont answer. I stop in about every week or so, to see whats happening with my car. I understand that shops are busy as fuck and dont have time to explain every goddamn detail to every customer. Even if they hired someone to just answer calls all day, it would still be insufficient. I understand that for most if not all of the people its a second job for them so it wont be as fast as a regular shop.

-Ryan explains that he was overconfident and told all his customers "yes yes yes" and ended up getting swamped. I said no problem and left until the next time I'd be back.
-So around this point there was some miscommunication. I assumed this was a cut and weld job, but I actually needed some frame straightening done. They dont have the tools, so they tried calling a few people who didnt call back.
http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1695.jpg

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1696.jpg

-they basically took off a lot of the parts on the front end. They told me theyd be getting in touch with a frame guy. I stopped by sunday, and Mike said frame guy was not returning calls so theyre calling someone else. As usual, I ask them to let me know whats up as things happen, and leave.

So this is my update on 9-18 at like 1 am

So their frame people didnt come through and I went to another collision shop, got my frame fixed and had the car back to them in like 2 days.

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1709.jpg

On a tuesday i got it towed, wednesday the guy got it on the frame straightener and did the frame and checked everything, car back at one motion on thursday

I decided to go with a s15 front end so they ordered a s15 radiator core, i bought the rest of the parts. They need the whole front end to weld on the radiator core so it aligns properly. Then they can cut the straightened frame and weld in a good frame piece (per my request, i like things clean like that) then they can do my battery tray and then ill be done there. Right now we are waiting for me to get my hood and bumper, and they can knock this thing out really quick. Also i finally spoke to Ryan and instead of the original tube front price (no battery tray rust fixing) i got it knocked down $800 and i get my battery tray rust fixed and my car is rust free. Not a bad deal.

I dropped off some SE wheels there to be powder coated and they are going to put on new wheels for it. Looks like things are going good now.

Meanwhile

Cliffnotes

-was told 4 weeks for a job on my car
-things came up at the shop, new damage was discovered on my car
-instead of paying for a tube front, he suggested a cheaper option to get a new radiator core support welded on and keep it OEM looking ( my goal)
-frame is fixed, waiting on my s15 front end parts so they can weld on my radiator support properly
-Parts arrived, shop guys came up and picked it up
-working on it already
-Am more than pleased

My name is Apu Parmar. I am friends with them on facebook. I have no reason to hide behind a screen name.

This is all the information I have right now. I am stating what has happened to me so far. This will be updated after I get my parts and stuff starts to happen. Until then, there is nothing One Motion nor I can do, since we are all playing the "waiting on fedex guy to get here with my shit" game

October 11 2012
-finally the s15 stuff shows up on october 10
One motion comes and picks it up because it wont fit into my dads suv, pretty awesome of them
http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1854.jpg

its october 12 and

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1859.jpg

Damn, did not hesitate to start. He even took my new set of zenki fenders so I'd be able to switch from a s15 to s14 front end. He could have just welded on the s15 rad support any which way and randomly made holes for the FRP bumper but he consulted me first. Class A group of guys

October 15- I stopped in to check on things, they had everything mocked up ready to weld.

Today is October 17, 2012. I stop by the shop to see how things are going. I always had a doubt about my fenders and their fitment so I went in and my suspicions were confirmed. The Extreme dimensions had some terrible fitment -_-

On the bright side, everything else was already done. My radiator support was welded on, new frame piece and a new apron welded on with the rust cut out/new piece welded on. Pictures can do the talking.

My man Ryan just cleaning up some welds

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/IMG_1874.jpg

Car is pretty much done. Random pieces need to be hooked up,reinstalled etc etc. Fitment of the OEM parts was spot on, like legitimately spot on. The only issues were are having is with the fenders and their hillbilly tooth hood-fender gap and I need the oem bumper support to make my s15 bumper line up spot on.

They do high quality work. Their prices are amazing. They will hook you up like you've been doing business with them for years.

it took 3 months for my car to be finished by them and it was just wiring and ic piping also estmatied at 1500 yea my bill was 29XX. also they tried to start my rb20 up and they said no compression etc etc u need new rings. i ran the tests myself it makes compression. trying to finish it myself without there help.

overall they do good fab work there just real slow at finishing projects casue there doing 5 at a time. they told me id have to wait 2 weeks then another 2 for the car to be done. so plan on waiting a long time. also they made a mess of my ic and piping(piping looks amazing just sloppy put on) my swap just doesnt look clean and ive been over charged for alot of there work like 80 bucks for the bumper held on by 4 bolts like u kidding me. and just dont have any loose stuff in your car im missing my rad brackets and manual boost controller. im in the middle of trying to reach them to get my parts back.

they are great guys they are a bit pricey but come guys its a business they have to make money somewhere! They helped me when i was in a predicament when i broke my leg and couldnt worrk and pay for my work. They understand and set it aside and only charged me a storage fee when they basically took apart the motor. Ryan is a very understanding guy he will work with you he is just getting super busy since he is the best around.

Emericanz I remember seeing your rb there a lot. It was a grey s13 if im not mistaken right? I saw them under that thing a lot.

Holy crap is all I have to say, 2900 for intercooler and wiring?

I have a huge update that i'm due for but I have to do that at my own computer later tonight.

Kevinzhou - There was a misunderstanding and all is well. I agree with you, I cant wait to see my shit done.

collegekid-

I'm sorry, but you have put a lot of misinformation in your thread. You stated that One Motion Fabrications address is not listed any where.

One Motion - About Us (http://onemotion.us/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=2)

I think you will find the exact address on their website. It can also be found on Google Maps. They even have a map of exactly where it is on their site.

I am at the shop often because i am a customer there. Your story is a little jaded and your not fully updated on your photos. Lets also remember the work you want them to do. How many shops do you think you can find that are willing to cut a car up like that? Aren't you still waiting for your parts? Why wouldn't they focus on other cars until your car is ready to go? The guy is saving your car and your trash talking him on the internet.

But your entitled to your opinion

emericanz-

I can't believe your trash talking this guy. Saying that it was 2900+ dollars for intercooler piping and wiring is a blatant lie. I was there when custom brackets where made for your front mount and oil cooler. Lines, oil filter relocation kit, and other fabrication pieces that you completely fail to mention. Didn't they do a timing belt or something as well? He is willing to come out to your house and help you out but your on the internet being a troll.

Anyway

My opinion is very different about the shop. Communication is very easy with these guys. They work with me through every step of my build. These guys do not try to up sell you on anything and will talk you out of stupid ideas. Even if it means them making money. I have had a 10 point cage made from scratch here. It fits better than anything i have ever seen (many others on this forum can/will vogue for it). It took him eight days from start to finish. If i ask for something, but i don't have everything in for it yet, he waits till everything comes in and then bangs it all out (it is how two guys turn cars around). I hope other people will chime in because this is crazy. I have seen this guy get a call from a customer and drive to them on the side of the road and fix their clutch line.

Okay, I'm not talking trash on them. Yes my original post needs editing again because there is a lot of stuff mixed in, like when I first made this and when I last edited it. I can't address every issue you stated but I dually note that some things need to be changed in my original post.

I can't speak for anyone else, everything written in my original post is mine except for the part about engine work, because I had no engine work done and I took the word of one of my dads customers (Russian/European dude who had an eclipse with a lot of money in the engine and Ryan or mike couldn't get the motor running right, motor blew a month later)

Now that's not my business and it will be edited out, but my home Internet is slow as hell so I'm on my phone.

Anyway, the car did sit for almost a month because frame people didn't show up. That phase had poor communication between both parties. We're past that.

My original post is terribly constructed right now, I see that and will edit it when I can.

I'm not talking trash on them, we started out on the wrong foot, and now everyone is on the same page. I am doing business with them in other ways so I'm not just some dickhead kid who has had my car there for 2-3 months. The only problem I had was the communication misunderstanding we had when this started. Things are fine, we are just waiting on some parts I ordered weeks ago to arrive, which is completely unrelated to them.

Right now the car is prepped at the shop waiting for stuff to happen.

Thank you for pointing out the flaws in my original post.

You kids are drunk, I believe the motor got swapped for emericanz, or whatever the name is, this is why I hate forums, ive always said to myself, ide never talk shit on the people who make my food.

Heres the reality, if you're to cheap to get your cars fixed, stop being lazy and do it yourself,
if you want quality work done, its going to cost you, too much? get a second job. It's a lot for any place to run a business, this isnt years ago when shit was cheap.

Good work also takes time, and I dont trust anyone else with my, MOTOR WORK.

Ya'll drinkin to much hemp-tea.

I can cook for myself thank you.

Anyway, I'm not cheap at all. Being cheap would have meant me gettin another car instead of fixing this one. Lets say you are super rich and no one knows that you are. You want to buy a Ferrari. Are you going to go in the dealership and flash your money around or just go there to get the car at a deal. Everyone wants a deal. I didn't even negotiate with them. I asked them what they could do, they said realistically 1500-2000. I said fine, lemme clean the engine bay and you can pick it up soon. When they convinced me to get a new radiator support and use that instead, they told me it would be cheaper. I didn't sit there and beg them to do it for under a grand.

Lazy? I was taking summer courses at temple. Biology ain't easy. I also worked 35 hours a week with my dads shop, got another job at a pharmacy and worked there 30 hours as well. I don't have time to learn how to weld.

I was told that they do quality work, it's why I went to them in the first place. I've heard many times that Ryan is great at what he does.

Once again, there was a misunderstanding. The first week there, it got stripped and ready to go. The next 2-3 weeks, their frame guys never showed up. After that, I ordered parts which haven't showed up yet.

That's where we are at. I can't say anything more. I'm trying to be fair in this.

No problem, I did a hit and run edit the first time and it failed. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Can more people chime in, theres like a waiting list of people ready to go in and yet no one wants to say anything besides the 2 guys who already did

There is a long overdue update coming. Car is already in my house, getting ready to strip it and send it back to them so they can get rid of all the rust that I somehow found in random ass places.

Long story shirt, they did a good ass job and I'm going right back to them when I'm finished finding all the rust. I ordered a shit ton of parts with them too, and everything has been smooth sailing.

The old rust that they fixed

http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m575/apishmar/DSCN0867.jpg

It's kinda hard to show you pictures clearly because the car isn't home yet, but

In the drivers side wheel well I had
-rust buildup around the brake line
-a 6inch diameter rust hole
-the back of the wheel well near where the strut tower has a seam weld to the chassis had rusting

Also had some buildup near the hood hinge and under the pass side fender, they also cleaned up where the windshield wiper assembly is (inside where the bar rotates)

I won't put the price here, but it was a good value. They did an excellent job. Also, they have a new welder there by the name of Collin (or Collins, I Don't know LOL), who did all of this. He also showed me some bash bars that he did ( I am getting a bash bar after I get my origin bumper ). His work is top notch. They have pictures on Facebook too.

Where the hell are all of the other zilvians who had stuff done there?

I have had a bit of work there. The car will be back to get a bash bar inter cooler piping and exhaust. Ill take pictures and post them up in here.

Colin is a way better welder than Ryan was. I'm very excited he will be finishing the fabrication on my car.
