ok so on my way home tonight from work the temp gauge all of the sudden shot up so i pulled over and a fuck ton of coolant was leaking all over the alternator wires and the motor mount. i thought the HG blew out but no fluid on oil filter or the side of the engine. limped the fucker home fill it up with coolant, jack up and see coolant on a hose under the intake mani. so i started the car and looked under....fucking nothing. not a drip. i didnt take it out and drive it but i revved to like 3k and nothing came spewing. lowered the car back down, still nothing. what in the fuck is happening?

When you filled it back up, did you wait until it was hot again and thermostat open to check to see where the leak came from?

thermostat hose.
pressure test the system. It will be your fastest/most efficient way of finding any leaks.

I dont see how this makes any sense. I maybe one of your smaller hoses blew, but it would leak when you pour more in. If I were you I would just check as many lines as possible. plus it does not hurt to replace as many old hoses as you can. I know your car might be older than you.
Also, how can you check the oil filter for coolant?
Do you mean you checked the dipstick?

brand new silicon upper and lower hoses, been fine for 3 weeks.

what i meant was on the top of the oil filter there wasnt any coolant( just giving points where coolant spilled onto), and yes its a 90.

Could have also overheated enough to make the radiator cap relieve pressure and puke it out...

It's one of your hoses, this happened to me, you won't get to leak until you drive it, one of your hoses has a small hole and under normal idle it won't leak til the pressure builds up and opens the hole more and leaks, mine happened like the with both upper and lower hoses, not at the same time but it happened
