Sounds like it sticks for a second. Mine stays on until I pop the hood and run out to disconnect the battery. After I do that it starts fine.
Does it do that at any time or only in a certain condition? (hot/cold)

wtf starter noise - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STk7mv6f2DY&feature=plcp)
What motor do you have and what noise are you asking about? It sounds like the starter skips a tooth or two on the flywheel or your engine sputters a bit. If you have a single cam, that noise you hear once it's started is your timing chain tensioner. They wear out and make noise until your engine makes enough oil pressure to go tight. You should hear mine. Not sure if the dual cams make the same horrible noise or not.

sounds like you have a bad starter or bad solenoid on the starter.
