Okay so i Bought my swap a while back off a buddy of mine who fell off the face of the earth. anyways i have a gt28rs garret turbo, s13 redtop it was on 14lbs when i bought the swap, when i put it in my car i ran it on 8. recently turned it up to 12, And I pulled my plugs out the other day for no reason, and they are the NGK Iridium brk8's? or whatever 8's.

Car runs flawless, always had, pulls hard, spins a good amount for me to make it feel fast. Lol, Only thing that the car does that is odd, is like when ever im stopped the idle will sometimes be at 900, sometimes at 1200.

So i looked up the plugs, and Says for alot of boost and timing? I havent checked my timing yet, but would my motor have to have a good amount of pulled timing to run correctly with those plugs? also car isnt really running rich or lean either, its perfect when i pulled the plugs out.

Is it bad for me to be running those plugs? Idk, haha. Im just worried i cant find anything on google about sr's and those plugs..all i have found was not recommended for daily use.

also wanted to know if timing being advanced would cause a random idle like that?

8`s are on the cold side but not too cold. if the plugs are caramel in color, they are fine. if you would feel better changing the plugs, go with sevens. i would leave it alone though. as far as the idle going up and down, check for vacuum leaks, dirty throttle body, tps adjustment, idle air control valve, etc. i doubt the ignition timing has something to do with it. if it does not detonate or ping at boost, leave the timing alone.

Okay thanks. Im about to do a little over haul on the engine so was just wondering if i should tackle this while its out/going back in.

Run heat range 7 or 8...so you're fine! :)
