i'm in the process of installing a sr20 in my car. i'm having a problem with the harness. if i swap out the sr harness that connects to the starter and alternator side for the ka harness. what 4 plugs from the ka harness do i cut and splice to connect to the sr tranny? the sr tranny has only two plugs which i think is the neutral/reverse sensors. so the question is which of the four plugs that was connected on the ka tranny is for those two plugs?

This is from phase2motorsports reguarding harness service that they do...
"Transmission harness does not needs to be send in, it's a separate circuit that does not need wiring at all. You just need to swap the sensors from the KA tranny to the SR tranny and everything will be plug and play for the transmission neutral position switch and reverse switch. Don't forget to swap the speed sensor."

So just swap the speed sensor from your KA into the SR and youll have the full use of your tac and speedo?

Yup, that's exactly right.

The lower engine harness/transmission harnesses on SR/KA are the same except for the transmission sensor plugs. You can change them or splice into it.
No mess required.

so you mean to tell me all i need to swap out is the speed sensor. and for the wiring it self i don't need to swap out the sr harness for the ka harness. are the sr plugs coming from the starter/alt side going to plug up

it'll all plug up. leave the SR harness on the SR. the plugs behind the battery will plug right in. As far as the speed sensor, i've read that they are the same also, so you don't need to swap them out. But it only takes a second so it couldn't hurt to swap 'em any way... just in case.

the speed sensor in the ka and sr transmissions are calibrated driffrently, the ka sensor is calibrated for mph and sr sensor is calibrated for kmh. so if you keep the sr sensor your speedometer will read in kmh instead of mph.
