OEM one is the best if you dont want to throw a lot of money at reliability modding.
Otherwise get a gt2871r, but add a maf, injectors, intercooler and a tune ( that is the very minimum, might as well add an uprated rad, fuel pump, gauges and sensors to check everything is right)

All i got now is bigger intercooler and a blow off valve , gt2871 is way to pricy for me , anything else :( ?

28rs and the 28r are all upgrades to the factory S14 turbo. You'll need injectors for either one if you want to run higher than factory boost. Hell even on an S14 turbo you need injectors over 10psi.

yeh , i think these would do best for me :) my first nissan and my first turbo car lol , pretty much ''green'' to turbos , what is the exact name of that 28rs ? And does it pretty much fit to all stock parts etc ?

If you want factory fit go with the 28R. The RS is also called the disco potato and may need some work to get it installed.

You need injectors and a MAF period, end of story, unless you stay with an S14 T28. A GT28R is similar to an S15 turbo, it is an upgrade over the S14 turbo, but you still need injectors and a MAF. A GT28RS is larger than the S15 turbo, capable of 350ish hp, still need injectors and a MAF. The GT2871R is the mack daddy for bolt on turbos for the SR, capable of 400+ hp, but hey guess what? You still need injectors and a MAF. Even if you want to exploit the full potential of the S14 turbo (14psi, woohoo), you still need injectors, however, you can get by without a MAF because the turbo maxes out around the same time the factory MAF does.
550cc injectors atleast
Z32 MAF
and a tune.
Anyway you shape it, you'll need to spend more money. If you get a larger turbo, maf and injectors, guess what? You're going to need a tune if you want it to stay together. Your best bet, do some research and find out what you need/want. What I would do is buy the S14 stock replacement turbo, get parts together, then swap them all on at one time with a tune.

if i chose gt28rs, maf and injectors and im ready for replacement ? like is there a chance of getting heat problems with stock rad , etc ?

if you have the car tuned properly and are getting the right egr's you're radiator will be able to do it's job. but it's still not a bad idea to upgrade it.

Depends.
You are likely to get heating problem depending on your use, climate, coolant quality, rad being clear, water and oil pump being ok... More power = more heat, keep that in mind. If you dont driver harder, it wont heat more anyway.
The way i see it, you dont want to spend money, so just get an OEM T28 or its roller bearing counterpart ( GT28R aka GT2560R). It will still cost you money, a turbo is expensive. But stay away from ebay specials, again. Remember these things turn at 150.000rpm. Garrett makes flanges able to resist an exploding turbo throwing bits of metal in every direction and contains it in the flange. Dont believe chinese crap is doing the same.
GT28RS and GT2871R are not very far pricing wise. May as well get the 71. There is a reason everyone uses it: it works very well.
Also forget the "S15 turbo" story, they are not ball bearing turbos. The legend says they are, but the truth is only late JDM S14a and early JDM S15 had the roller bearing version, all the others had a regular T28.

Chinese turbos not containing explosions? Funny, Garrett turbos are made in China! Either way kid I'm going to set all this bullshit info straight for you.
Gt28R- pretty much a s15 ball bearing turbo $850 You can run it just fine on factory boost with your engine just the way it is until you save more $ for more mods.
Gt28rs (disco potato) $1200 slightly better than the above. You can run factory boost on it just fine as above. No maf or injectors needed at 7psi.
Gt2871r (the shit) I bought mine on this forum for $1k NEW. Capable of over 400hp You can run factory boost on your maf and injectors as long as you dont beat the shit out of it. Just cruise and save your funds up until you can afford to crank up the boost.
People are going to tell you to save up your money until you can "do it right" Idk about you but i work full time and go to college full time as well and Im not rich. If I saved up to purchase all this shit at once it would never happen. I bought it one piece at a time and played it smart. Of course dont put an upgraded turbo on and raise hell with factory fuel system but that doesnt mean you cant upgrade one step at a time and actually take care of your car. If you buy an $800 turbo because you cant afford injectors then your car will be stock until you start making cake. Do your homework, search for days or even weeks, find a deal on a good upgrade turbo that gives you room to grow and work your ass off to save up for supporting mods.

Fleabay parts honestly. Some people say they have good luck with them. I cringe thinking about them. All up to you. You gotta pay to play. Wanna be doing this again in 3 months? You want a Chevy or a Daewoo?

300hp you should just buy a new gt28r from Enjuku or Frsport. Around $900 after shipping. Bolts right up. Despite what people say, you can run 12psi on factory injectors just fine. Afr's will stay good and the car will be a lot quicker than your probably expecting. Just by the Garrett and not have to worry.

No one stays at 7psi, do yourself a favor and get injectors and a MAF. Your car will like it, you'll enjoy the new found power and not having a blown bottomend.

If you tight on cash just get a T25 or T28 alot of used ones come up here.
Bigger turbo you will need supporting mods. Injectors/maf/tuning/turbo itself probably +1G to be safe to be safe if you upgraded your turbo(price is without turbo itself).
Say you get a used disco potato or a used 2871r probably gonna be around 500-700 average also depends on cond, what housings, etc.
Injectors will run you a decent amount min $200 for used sti yellow top sidefeed injectors(555's).
Then you come into maxing out your maf so you need a N62(300zx) maf about $30-120 dependings where you find it like a junkyard or something and then cond, etc.
Then tuning say you go nistune or something thats a good amount of $$ then plus tuning so more $$
Then the misc part gaskets, o-rings, misc stuff you may replace.
Also could replace turbo lines if doing a bigger turbo don't need to but always helpful.

Yea obviously we understand that. And obviously the dude is working with a tight budget like most of us here. So like I said, don't sacrifice buying the turbo to meet your goals because you can't afford supporting mods YET. I didn't say "don't buy injectors." They can be next priority and you can take it easy on the skinny pedal until you can afford everything.

It's not like ''i dont want to spend money'' , i just want to keep my s14 driveable everyday to work , colege etc , but the main reason i bought her is for drifting :) , just dont want to keep the car in the garage because 2 many mods that would fu** the car because daily driving.

Well the thing is im leaving the car for good 4-5 months and in that time while i be away i will be looking for turbo and other things like maf and injectors . At this moment gt2871r sounds best for me if i will actually find one here for 500-700 as some1 mentioned :) And if that's all i need (maf , injectors , intercooler , and turbo ofc ) im good to go.

Add braided lines for the turbo ( it is hard to use oem ones without them cracking ), injector gaskets (15$), and a tune. Maybe spark plugs, get cheap NGK copper ones, no one needs iridium or pricey denso.
While you are at it you may change the radiator to be on the safe side. You can get one for 100$ or less.
You cant avoid the retune. The ECU tells your engine when to spark and how much fuel to put in based on how much air goes through, but it cant detect injectors nor MAF. To the ECU, the MAF is just a 0-5V signal, and it drives the injectors by grounding their command for some time. IT does not know how much they flow unless someone programs it in.
Changing MAF and/or injectors requires a tune. The car wont work without it. It may not even start.
ForeignMuscle > the difference is just there: some people are mature enough to understand that how YOU do things is not how to do things right. Ultimately it leads to breaking the engine and getting you ruined. You dont have money ? Dont mess with your car. Thats how it is. But you cant understand that yet. Give it a couple of years, or an engine death to let the idea enter your mind.
I got my S13 after i started working, and considering how much i could pay for it at the start, i kind of regret it. Now i have more money to use on it, and i can really use the car without thinking "oh god service is due in 300km and i am broke, i have to stop driving it". Now it just is "pedal to the metal, who cares ? I can pay whatever happens".
