Sooo, wanna get silly w/ the drift without consepquence??Need to learn in a simulated, yet realistic way?
I use these settings on my K's2000(and 180sx/Tom'sx540), the real purpose of this thread is to see what you cats got goin on...but try it if you want, SLIDE TRU!
spring-f8.9/r8.2
height-slam it! don't argue
bound-f7/r8
re-f8/r8
cam-f1.5/ro.5
toe-f0/r(-)1.0(1.5 if you think ur nasty)
sway-f3/r4
brakes...i go f9/r10
trans....if it hits 100 in 3rd, your good
ASC-0/TCS-1
tires-try slicks, med-slick if your buggin!MATCH THEM front to rear!
It might not mirror anyones real world set up, but I can only wish my car (s13) will handle like this when I'm done...it will
if you spin out every corner or can't keep it sideways, then practice on a setup like this...unforgiving, yet satifying!

your setts are horrible, if you actually want to drift in taht game, use camber frnt 4.2 and rear 3.2 and tcs -0 and your brake balance controller thing should be set to 7 frnt and 16 rear. i play this game too much

thats is a poor set up, who would put that on a real car?
, but im glad you replied.....if you play it too much, im sure you can handle it....that camber your talkin is nuts, and you should begin a drift with the throttle and steering , not brakes- even it out!

really, don't knock it until you try it.....i'll take your set-up out for a few laps, but I'm sure you or I wont change our ways when its all said and done

In GT3 you can drift with soo many different settings, it all depends on what you use to learn.
You can drift on a stock car with sims, or a 500HP car with Racing tires and TCS on.
Or just mismatch front and rears, make up your own settings and do it how you want. We'll see whose best when GT4 comes out

I've only played GT3 a few times. Been more of a need for speed fan. Can you modify cars in the game?

no setup is poor. whats wrong with using 4.2 camber on the front? its a game, not like your paying for the tires. and i did try your setup, and with more camber it handles better thru the drifts. :whip:

true, true...but it was funny to say(no flame intended)
different strokes rule da world.
well, now you at least know how my shit rides(its that close), you gotta admit, it was raw. The only reason i really shared the settings was because all my "gt3 master" friends can drift good, but not better than me with my settings....1 month owned(I know, Behind the times) and thier cars straight suck -understeer queers!
nfs/hot pursuit=awsome game...non-adj. settings=atari

hot pursuit is better than GT3 for fun factor. when you wanna get technical GT3 is better. i've been playin a lot of GT3 lately and here's what i know:
1000hp supras want to "drift" through every corner

I pull insane drifts witn my vitz.. sweet cars ezae86
Here are some uber savage setting i use on the 702HP FD RX7.
Spring 12k/F 16k/R
Shocks 6bound 8rebound front and rear
Height slammed
Front Camber -3.0 Rear camber -8.0
Front Toe -.5 Rear toe 0
Sway bars 6/f 5/r
2-way lsd
Brakes 4/24
Super Sticky Tires all around.
This may seem like an oversteer setup but it feels like how i imagine a D1 RX7 would drive. It's really twitchy and has a lot of power, but it doen't spin even under full throttle. Takes a lot of skills to drive this setup. I have more friendly setups but learn with this one and you will get better.
P.S. GT3 is my favorite game. I made a night out of drinking vodka and driftin last night. I wish i could get it onto camera and put it on the web.. but i suck at electronics and i suck really bad at video capture. I think we should have a drift competition in GT3 with actual judges and prize money. It would be a sick meet. :rawk:

I like to keep the bound at half of the rebound, for ex. mine
Front - B4 R8
Rear - B3 R6
For high hp cars Super Soft or Soft in front and anything from Medium to Super Slicks on the back.
For low hp cars sports on the front and sims on the back.
LSD = 15-25, 45-55, 15-25
I never use TCS.
I'm actually playing GT2 now cause I'm so sick of GT3. GT4 needs to come out soon.

these are my settings in gt3 for the majority of my cars. cars i have with more than 400hp have different settings, but everything below that basically has the same settings.
turn your tcs and asm all the way to zero. get your car to about 370-380hp, throw on some simulation tires. lower the ride height all the way, spring rate 20 front and rear, rebound and bound all the way up, camber 4.5 in the front, 7.5 in the rear, toe at 0.0 front and rear, stabilizers at 7.
and i bet i'm one of the best gt3 drifters in san diego, i'm a loser like that. if anybody wants to challenge me in SD, i'm down =]
Here's a strange setup that seems to work perfectly. BONE STOCK corvette Z06 with simulation tires. No lsd, no suspension, no power mods. It works perfectly cause it's a perfect car stock.

Hey, just because your settings are different it dosent mean anything, each person sets up the car to there driving style, the way you tell who is better is how they drive with those settings. On my K's s14 I have 503hp and I dont know what suspension settings i forgot Im using the fully adjustable lsd and super soft tires, why??? Because when you slide on super soft you are going alot faster and you keep your speed through the turn while sliding, I put normal tires in the rear and sports in the front and it took me twice as long to get through each turn, on my Tom's chaser I have 805 hp or something like that with semi slicks in the front and superslicks in the back and that car can slide for days. On my 180sx im running close to 500hp with normal tires in the back crazy camber with some sports in the front, each car i can drive fine and tear up the same line on each course cuz i can adjust my driving for each car, if you guys make a meet in sd im down to cruise by, but everyone will think they are better then everyone else lol
lazyyy-.-
08-10-2004, 11:27 PM
shoot. i use 5.0 front camber and 6.0 rear camber on medium soft tires! sooo much negative camber haha
lazyyy-.-
08-10-2004, 11:29 PM
and with the chaser. i run about 625 and 725 hp. i have 3...so i run different HP for different courses.
