S13 muffler help!

A friend of mines got me a megan muffler 2.5 in 4" out with a silencer. Its just the muffler. i have a 89 bonestock s13, should i change the piping or just weld this muffler on. i dont want this car sounding like a ricer, might as well get a whole system right? or would it sound alright with that muffler. thanks. Also my speedometer randomly does crazy when im driving what can that be? speed sensor loose or something?

If by ricey, you mean like all the Honduhhs that sound like bees, then you can get a whole catehxuats back and it wont sound raspy. I have an OBX header, and a eBay exhaust 2.5" with a 4" tip. Sounds nice and deep. Even before the header it was really nice. But I took the silencer out of it because the silencer made it seem a little raspy to me.

Edit: Wait just saw you have a '89, so you have the single cam? Not sure about that, maybe someone else can chime in about the sound with a single cam, but I would think it would be the same as the DOHC.

so do you think it will sound deep or like a lawn mower lol. i dont wnat to put this muffler on and then regret it haha

i have an 89 sohc hatch. i built a 2.25 cat back exhaust with an 18 inch cherry bomb resonator and an ebay N1 style muffler. it sounds good to me. if you have the money to get a whole cat back exhaust, do it. just make sure it has a resonator before the muffler. i think the stock exhaust has one, so just installing your Megan alone is ok.
