I need a rear main seal replaced and my clutch is worn out so I'm replacing that

what other parts should I replace that would be prudent while the tranny is off?

Also, do I need to machine the flywheel? talked to a shop and they said the service manual doesn't tell you to machine the flywheel

machine flywheel dont listen to nobody...
and i usually do both master and slave for clutch too
and switch to a high temp fluid for clutch hydraulic

machine the flywheel, new throwout bearing, friction disc, pressure plate, rear main seal (
OEM preferred) possible new diff fluid since it might spill out.

you need to go to a clutch shop near you, i got mine done for 15 bucks. But the reason for machining the flywheel is to ensure the new pressure plate and clutch is attached to a new surface, basically its like doing brake rotors, you dont have to but this is your clutch its harder to get to just incase it messes up lol

-flywheel bolts
-torque wrench fo flywheel bolts
-gearbox oil GL4
-threadlock for flywheel bolts
-clutch aligning tool
-flywheel machining

I always replace:
- Clutch disc & pressure plate
- Throw out bearing
- Pilot bushing/bearing
- Flywheel blots (and the ones for the pressure plate)
- Rear main seal

I always replace those and I always resurface the flywheel, I also inspect the fork for the throw out bearing and the pivot ball/bolt and replace as necessary.
