i got stopped, cop said i dunno if they gave u a front plate bracket when u bought the car but in wisconsin u need one, then he started checking out the car, the inside, the gauges, then started walking away, but as he started walking he saw me puttin my DL and registraion back and he came back asked for it, then handed it back and walked away, it took like 5 min, it was so annoyinh and right in front of the enterence to the tech........

I had a old vw bug that was lowered to the ground. The rear tires had almost 20 degrees neg. camber. I got pulled over cause he thought my tire was falling off.

LOL that's great!! I can picture myself getting pulled over by a cop because it looks like my car's falling apart.
Actually I was transporting my car home once, without a front bumper, no fenders and headlights ZIPTIED to the front aprons. :D cop stopped me 2 blocks from home and was (basically) like "WTF is that?! Looks like you got in a serious front end collision..." I told him that I was just moving the car home (from fixing it myself), he ran my license/registration and let me go. :eek3:

Mistaanime: The cop was just looking out for you.
Cops finally let me slide for speeding, TWICE! IN A ROW! Not in the same day though, just the last 2 times. So I learned my lesson cuz one $360 ticket is enough.

I've been pulled over sixteen times now, haha. I only have one ticket for not having a front plate mounted properly when I was installing the front bumper. The sixteenth time I got pulled over was for not having side mirrors on. I was using the mounting points as a mold for fiberglass mirros I was going to design. The cop walked up to my car and I rolled down the 15% illegal tint so he could talk to me. He looked in the car and noticed that I had not only no dashboard, but no guage cluster, no carpet, complete sound deadening removal, only lap belts, no visors, ceiling, or any other cosmetic interior pieces. He just laughed and asked me, "What the hell are you doing?" I explained that I was using the stock dash as a mold for a fiberglass one and that I needed to remove it. He told me to put my mirrors back on, but the interior was completely legal?? He checked my ish and let me go on my way. You should have seen the look on his face when he first looked inside, hahaha...priceless.

I have also been pulled over for the lack of a front fascia and fenders. I had my turn signals duct taped to the bumper, lol. One time I took my car out with no passenger or driver's seat, no exhaust, no hood, front bumper, fenders, interior, rear bumper, or taillights, hahaha. I'm so ghetto, I love it. My car hasn't had paint for over a year now, haha.

i was pulled over twice for stupid reasons.
1) the cop pulled me over and came up and said "is there a problem?" and im like.. umm.. "no" and hes like "ok.. do you have anything illegal in your car?" "no sir" ... "ok.. drive safely" ...haha..
2) the cop pulled me over. asked if i was under any influence.. checked my eyes... then let me go
neither one asked me for my licence or registration.. crazy cops

I got a good one. Two of my friends were skrewing around one night. One was in civic Si, and the other in a GSR teg. The teg pulled out first and spun his tires, my other friend in the civic just pulled out kinda hard, but didn't spin tires. A cop comes running after my friend in the civic and pulls him over. Doesn't ask for his liscence, registration or anything, he just comes up and ask why he spun his tires. My friend says it wasn't him, but the guy infront of him. The cop walks back to his rear tires and says "you got some tread missing off you rear tires, you sure you weren't the one spinning tires." And my friend says, "The cars front wheel drive", and the cop has an ambaressed look on his face and tells him to go on and drive safely.

yah my friend doug ahs a civic where he cut the dash bar so it just has the driver side hoop and zip tied a gauge cluster to it, other wise all he has in the car is the ecu, wires to the tail lgihts, 1 driver seat, and the back bench, we reffer to it as riding "limo" but lol he can unlock and lock the doors througha hole in the door. he completely stripped it down and drive it wth no impact abrs or bumeprs , he got pulled over and the cop gave him a list of stuff to fix, horns ahd to be re hooked up, and "bumpers" then he let him go.....the cop was just like "what the hell is this do u even have it regisitered? u got belts? " "some" "u got horns" "nope"(writes on pad)"u got bumpers?""nope""u need a new car" but fix this and u can drive it, dont let me ever see it again like this" then he let us go and we zip tied the palstic bumper covers on......oh yah there was 3 seats, 1 offical seat belt and at the time we had 6 people in it.

..and I don't want to be swerving around random car parts in the middle of the road wherever i go either, so I'm happy for them making sure people's cars aren't falling apart.

I got pulled a few times here in US and in Thailand. But this one in Thailand was very stupid. Being RHD, i came up to this small intersection. My intention was to turn right. This right turn was kinda like the one that you don't have to wait for the green, just make sure there isn't any car coming to your left. ANyway, on that day, there was a big sign "DO NOT TURN RIGHT." In Thai of course. I was like, ok i could just straight up and make a Uturn and then take a left instead. This cop was sitting in his cop-rest-area to my right at the corner where i wanted to turn. He pointed to my car and waved from left to right as if he would allow me to turn right. It was pretty obvious if you saw the way he did it. So i turned. A sec or two after, there was another cop standing right after the corner. He pulled me over. Said the cop, "you can't turn right today." Blah blah blah. I ended up paid like 10 bucks to him but no ticket was issued. After that, i came to realize that one has to expect these kind of pull overs in Thailand, esp toward the end of the month. The End.

lol, the car wasnt falling apart, it had every thing taken off and really didnt have much left to fall off, that was more of a response to the stripped out car post acouple above it, so get off my case. i thought he should have got a ticket for the seat belt thing......it was stupid to take those off, and alot of "drifters" on here have talked about zip tied on bumper covers....

When I was 17 I did a fat burnout in my Integra leaving my work place one night. I worked medical records, so I didn't leave till 1am. My buddy the janitor also sat there and was egging me on too, so I yanked the ebrake and burned out for close to a minute. I guess someone heard it and snitched on me. At the time I had 205s on the front and 195s on the back. Well the next day my buddy the janitor comes up to the medical records office laughing and laughing. He told me that the cops came and checked the tread and width of the burnout marks I left, and compared them to the size of the rear tires on my integra, shook their heads and left. Then he ran up to tell me. I was scared, but we were both rolling.
That was 96, and cops had no idea about Hondas lucky for me.

reminds me of the story of a guy in an MR2 running from cops, he comes flyin over a hill, parks it, tells everyone to stick with his story
cops stop, check it out, lookin, lookin, puts his hand on the hood, "its cold"
they leave.

hmm.. somehow i think that story is fake. i dont think a cop wud be stupid enough to check the hood for heat instead of checking the plates.

omg this i think is dumb as hell. i was driving down this real crowded road (im only 5' tall) and i was driving my dads old truck. well, i pass a cop because i needed to get over; i definatley made sure to use my blinker. well, right after i got in front of him his lights went on, and i was thinking that there is no way in hell i did anything wrong. so i went ahead and pulled over. i got all my shit ready and gave it to him and i kindly asked. "can you please tell me why i am pulled over?" he then said that i was sitting to far back in my seat and that i passed him improperly(i was "too" clost to him-which is bs). i then said to him that it was my first time driving that truck, and that i can scoot the seat up anymore. he said i wont give you a ticket this time, but next time you need to sit on a pillow. i was thinking what the fuck! later on i realized that that red-headed cop was the same cop that impounded my car while i was asleep at my friends house(it was her 16th b-day and everyone was fucked up). he impounded it because it was parked sort of crooked(accross the st on her property). he said i was drunk driving. that cop is a dick and hopefully now you guys get the idea of how gay macon, ga police are.
