Well I've had this ticking car thats been getting worse and worse. I just got the car a month ago every thing that will go wrong has gone wrong lol. From tail lights shorted to all of the valve cover bolts stripped out. I'm new in the 240sx community. (Hi everyone lol) but I've always had nissans anywho

I have looked and looked about this ticking sound and then it started sounding like my someone threw a big ass cam in it. Had a lot of overlap. So thats when I figured it was definetly the rocker arms sticking so I took them apart and they are all in spec. It's 2am and I just finished cleaning them and soaking them in oil. Hey I took them apart might as well right?? Well I guess I'm just trying to figure out what else could be the problem. With 222999 miles It wouldn't surprise me if it was a spun bearing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

This is an update from last night after I cleaned all of the rocker arms letme know what you think

Maybe you should have made a video of the car before you ripped the rocker arms out.... anywho, Ill throw a blind guess. Timing chain tensioners. They always go bad and cause a horrible rattle. If it breaks while driving, well you're screwed. Just take off the valve cover and take em out. Nissan says we don't need them anyway supposedly.

Most likely your upper timing chain guide. Extremely common on KA's.
