I haven't been able to find a reason for the different colors either. I'm sure you know the difference between the K and Q emblems, but the colors seem to remain a mystery. At least to you and I.

im guessing it has something to do with silvia j's k's or q's
i bet that green one is q's because it kinda looks like a q wrapped around the s
i think k is an sr20det, q's and j's use sr20de
j's are base model silvias

Ok, so if I put the Red badge on my car its cause I have a SR20DET motor right?

well, they're both for s14's, the red one is for an s14 silvia k's, and i'm thinking that the black one is just a variation of it made for like the 97-98's possibly, there is also a green one like the black one for s14's. an s15 emblem looks like this, which is different than the 2 shown:

This could help...

Q's actually had a Q on the shield, if i remember correctly. The different colors were just for different paint schemes i think.

man that is one thing i really love about things from japan, they all have like these little knick knacks that make things that much cooler. they do it in the anime's, video games, cars everything and it's neat how everything ties into eachother, like they name the top model K for king. ingenious!

The ellipticle one with Ks' goes on the rear door panel (after the door and before the wheel). So where does the shield with Ks' go? And never seen the lightning in the trapezoid. We need pictures.

the lightning bolt is for s15's
BlankFlip

possibly confusing it w/ an s15 or a particular skyline emblem???

The lightning bolt is a stylized "S"
Anyway. . I have the green / gold / silver hood bage on my S14a. . looked cool cause it matches my green car pretty well... But, a friend has the red badge on his 96. .
We noticed something... his is a larger badge than the one on my car... the smaller badge on my car was meant for 94-96 Silvia. . while his was meant for later 96-98... looks cool tho. . so it's all good!!!
I think I saw the green / gold one on a 270R

i'm getting that trapazoid badge soon, i'll post it when i get it, i bought it off of some guy on this board
I got mad pictures to show, I even got a diagram of where the badges go on the S15 and the skyline emblems, it's just that I can't find a place that supports hotlinking, so when I put it here, it doesn't show up. Anybody wants where I can upload it to?
The red badge is for the '97-'98 S14 Aeros SE edition. Black badge is the same for Js, Qs, Ks Aero or what not.
The '94-'96 S14 uses the Green badge. And if you pay close attention, will noticed that the back of the badge is curved to matched the curve of the '94-'96 S14 hood.
The emblems with Ks, Qs, Js are mounted behind the doors on the side.

I rarely see a pic of it, but when i do, the pic is blurry.
