Im asking for a rundown, im about to pick up a car this weekend, I will try to give as much information as possible. Its a 1991 240sx hatch no sunroof or power options, the motor is a rb20 that has been overhauled it was originally dual cam according to the owner, he said he purchased a lower swap harness from a company and the upper harness came with the car, but the problems that I know of are
Check engine light wont light up
No tach signal at all
No coolant temp signal
Speedometer works
Fuel gauge works
gauges are illuminated
Any help :rolleyes:would be appriciated

You should find this to be helpful. After you get the car. I might be able to walk you through diagnosing it better

it's all under the dash, there's a brown plug near the heater. pretty easy to figure it out with a wiring guide. I used highfive's one for my swap...

it's pretty easy. it's in the kick panel where the computer is. if all else fails just wire up an aftermarket 5" tach and the coolant might just be a bad sensor.
