So my ka24e started to give me a bogging problem when i would drift at very high rpms.
I know redline is 6500 or is supposed ti be but i noticed last night it goes ti about 7300 and when it hits this rpm i lose all throttle input. Im sure this is causing damage or at least risking damage, but what is causing my motor to "save" itself? Im thinking its the knock sensor?

Ka arent very good at high RPM, especially the single cam.

Damn you half balanced crank shaft!

I know all about the ka and its engine characteristics. I need to know whats bogging the engine down at 7300rpm or so.

your ecu, it goes into a safe mode because the part of its brain that control the limiter is failing, mabe try to replace the ecu or check the harness for any cut or grounded wires

Soundd like a perfect excuse for a beeR to me.

Sounds like you are hitting speed cut (115mph), not rev limiter.

Nah its not a speed cut cuz i cant do 115mph donut. If i do a very throttle controlled drift and keep th revs low its cool. But when i pin WOT the revs climb all the way to 7300rpm
