I'll put this as basic as I can so it's easiest to understand. Car ran perfectly before the engine was pulled nothing impacting anything that causes the car to start was changed except for the timing which was set back to the correct setting.
Walbro 255 fuel pump, sti 550cc injectors, 300zx igniter, new bkr7e spark plugs gapped to .030
Engine cranks, will not start, smells of strong fuel, spark plugs wet/black.
Unplug injector connections, car starts and idles for about 3 seconds then dies from lack of fuel.
Pulled fuel rail, turn key to on, injectors don't leak all o-rings are good.
Replace fuel pressure regulator, still will not start unless injectors are unplugged.
Checked to see if ecu lost tune somehow and it did not.
Pulled coilpack #1, cranked motor, gave a tiny blue spark. Pulled all four coilpacks and #2 #3 and #4 gave a strong blue spark and #1 gave no spark. Switched #1 to a known working coilpack and still no spark.
Got igniter tested and is working as it should.
I am beyond stumped as to what the hell is going on! It seems I'm either getting too much fuel or not enough spark which is what I think it is because plug #1 won't spark. The thing is, if only #1 won't spark wouldn't the engine still start and run off of only 3 cylinders or am I missing something?
Please if anyone has any ideas let me know at this point I'll try pretty much anything.
