So i just installed my head. used a apexi metal headgasket. i didn't get my head or block decked. I checked them with a snap on straight edge and a feeler gauge. then i cleaned them with razors and thinner. the block and head where 100 % straight so i when on to the installation. i sprayed the gasket with copper gasket. I put on 4 medium coats and i'm starting to wonder is its too much , but the main problem is as i laid the head on oil squirted out of the oil port on the head and got on the gasket(2nd port back on the turbo side). its not to much oil but i wanted to see what you guys had to say. i still went on and torqued it down. i visited the local engine builder and he says he cant really see it hurting to much and said continue on, but i wanted to see what you guys thought before i put the engine in. I don't know how conformable i feel with taking the gasket off and reusing it but i know people do it. let me know what you guys think, thanks

Leave it, if it starts leaking you know what to do.

You'll be fine as long as you torque everything down good and put everything back right.

Copper spray can get really messy if you keep removing headgasket
Better off just leaving it alone

i always thought you should get your head resurfaced every time you change a headgasket.

Its recommended but not mandatory. Thats what the straight edge is for, check it to see if it needs to be resurfaced/milled.

So you guys think i will be alright, my next problem i just noticed is the gasket says 8811 on it which would mean 88mm bore, but on the box it says 87.
