I have a jays racing pro series 044 inline fuel pump with a Deastchwerks 300 intank. the 044 had been working fine for a couple months, but the last couple of weeks when priming the pump, it makes a very loud unequal priming sound as if it were struggling to prime. Along with this awful sound, there is no pressure at the FPR even after numerous primes without starting.

the intank pump is also new and both pumps install at the same time).

Despite no pressure reading, the car turns on and runs although AFRs are on the leaner side and very lean in boost compared to before.

FPR is new and reading 40 psi static when car is on (normal).

Injectors were tested and cleaned. Fuel filter is new. No clogs in lines. both pumps turn on and primes (intank sounds normal, the 044 is not)

No leaks in engine bay fuel lines (all braided with AN)

It seems the 044 is the culprit?

I had also dropped a spare fuel sock in the tank before too... can this be causing a problem with flow?...I wouldnt think so as the fuel would flow past this filter as well

I will check the lines at the pump and fuel hat.. but if those turn out well then I am down to the 044 or the deatchswerks pump??
