i may be wrong but i think it has to be older than 25 years to qualify for collector car insurance. if not i would love to get some too for my skyvia.

25 years huh. in 2 more years the 89 models will start qualifying. i doubt the 240sx will become a collectors car. if they do, maybe the rarer 2 tone s13 coupes or the late model 97-98 koukis.

I'd be worried about driving on limited insurance like that. Sure, it would get you past registration and traffic stops, but if something were to ever happen, a policy like that could have tons of gaps in coverage. I would definitely read all the fine print before signing up.

If you are 30 years old, and assuming that this will be your second or third vehicle, how much could insuring the car realistically cost?

Safeco has been good to a couple of friends of mine as far as coverage of the things that people who might frequent this forum would care about. I have nationwide for both of my cars and I pay 936 a year.

The Convertibles are about the only ones that can qualify, few have done it. Still some hassle with it.

97-98 may qualify because of low production numbers, but insurance may group them the same as all S14s.

And yeah as Phlip said, insurance isn't that high on S13s anyway.
