Okay so i replaced the HG on my RB20det replaced the intake gasket. Did what i thought was bleeding the water system but i still seem to get to 210 after about 20mins of driving. Please someone help me fix my RB by telling me what i may have not done to fix my issue.

Need stronger fans? Fans blowing the correct direction?

They seem to be blowing on high just fine and they are sucking fans not pushing. thats the way the guy before me had them set up. Can a heater core issue be a problem?

no a heater core would not be the issue. If your heater is not working then you still have Air in the system

whats the best way to bleed the coolant system, raise up the front end? also when i look in the radiator the water isnt moving from side to side. =/

open bleeder screw fill up coolant, raise front end, turn on engine, turn on heater wait and watch temps

Make sure you have a new thermostat installed with the button at 12 o clock.

ive take out the thermostat completely cause of the issues ive been having with it and also i bypassed the heater core today to see if that was it. was told to by a friend. ill put that back together but the custom intake plenum i havent a clue where the bleeder screw is. and its not on the radiator.

Did you buy a new rad cap? And have the head surfaced when you did the HG?

No the rad cap is the same and it was wiz wheeled not resurfaced. Did a dye test and it was fine. also the compression came back good and I'm losing no coolant so let's rule out hg. i found something saying that the RBs get air locked easily so im gunna try that tomorrow.

Start with a new cap. It's cheap. If that fixes it put your thermostat back in. Bleed well. How are you measuring temp? Aftermarket gauge? I've been working on a Saturn this week that sits at 210 pretty quick. The Efan doesn't even come on until about 225*

Yeah , I thought so too. When the fan finally comes on the temp drops to 200 and the fan turns back off.

Thought you were referring to an RB Engine...
Every engine is different
