sr20 wont idle

title says it all my s14 sr20det wont idle it runs fine as long as you stay on the gas other than that it will just stop running if you try to let it idle. it has a brand new maf fyi. any idea any one?

do this
1. check for vaccum leaks. don't know how? google it.
2. clean/check your iacv.
3. check for boost leaks.
4. if all else fails, switch mafs, although not possible, it could still be bad, manufacturers defect or something..

i'm leaning towards iacv or vacuum leak. pull off a vacuum line (if it'll stay idling for you without stalling) if there's no change then that's you're problem. do the same with the iacv. unplug it and there should be a change if it's working properly. or you can just say fuck it and adjust your throttle body to stay open more and call it a day. might not fix the problem but a simple solution for the time being.

Dont adjust the screw on the throttle body, it will not help the idle, and cause more issues. Idle is only adjusted thru the IACV.

Best choice is to remove and clean iacv thoroughly, doesnt take that long depending on which intake mani u have.
