We are taking on a new project, to build a LS1 with T56 Tranny on a 240Z, the project will cover all the necessary parts to make the swap smoothly, including Engine/Transmission Mount, Header, Oil Pan, Radiator, and also Fuelrail, Throttle Body, intake manifold and vale cover for advanced upgrade.
Here are the build progress, will keep posted. have fun...

a good friend of mine built a LS2 240z. one piece of information i may be able to help with is your gonna have problems with the headers if you are going longtubes. you will probably have to make your own which im sure you can do because the ones that you can buy were fabbed for a 280z and they dont fit properly in a 240z chassis. my friend ordered them and sold them due to the challenge of fitment. just a heads up. anyway these are crazy fun!

thanks for the info, we actually will be developing a new header that will spare a lot of room, the goal is to fit most of the older chassies. we are also doing a LS swap on RX7 FD and FC, and BMW E30 and E36, so with all these in mind, the header we will be making will definitely have better fitment than any others. the goal is to build one header fit them all, if not, whatever we can do to reduce the # of headers to share with all these applications.
also the way our engine mount is designed, it offers more room for header.

Guessing that's just a mockup motor?

Guessing that's just a mockup motor?
that's just the 1st try to test some space, not the one we actually using.
the 1st phase of this project is to do a LS1 with T56 tranny swap.
the 2nd phase is to do a truck LQ Motor with Auto tranny. this will be a lower cost solution, also can hold boost if wanted to turbo.
the 3rd phase will be a twin turbo, this is just for fun, what the heck...

tackling know that if you develop a LS longtube header for 240z s then they will sell like wild. good luck though I'm glad yall are tackling this project. good luck though guys! looking forward to seeing yalls progress

We tried a header we mocked up a while back from another project-- RX7 FD LS Swap, it does not fit the 240Z on the passenger side. so we start over from stretch, re-making a new one now, this one should be better.

that's a Mock up, not the real one. also it is the wrong one, just wanted to show what we are doing.
a complete new one is being fabricated now.

so the passenger side was the only one you had an issue with? thats not a bad start then. im gonna get some of my buddies from another Z forum to check this out i think they will want some of the stuff you are creating

yes, but we will actually re-design both side headers again as I stated, we will make an even better pair.

we are developing a brand new kit, not using any other products.
after it is done. this kit will have engine mounts, tranny mounts, headers, radiator kit, electronic kit, oil pan, drive shaft. the goal is you have all parts to make the swap easily, not need to buying piece by piece and also not worry about compatibility trying to make them work.
also for advanced swaps or race applications, we also offer fuelrails, throttle body, aluminum valve cover, and Aluminum Intake Manifold.

Interested in pricing if you plan on bringing a mount kit to the public, the only other mount kit I know of you have to do some wierd shit just to order it lol SUBSCRIBED!

Just to show how CXRacing is serious about the LS swap Market and how heavily we have invested in doing R&D, this is the new Aluminum Intake Manifold we are developing.
We used 3D printer (that we own) printed out a section of the manifold, to check flow curve, porting, fitment and etc, that’s all I can show you now, the final product will probably one of the best in the market.

Any chance you'd be developing a kit for the Z32 chassis?
I'd be highly interested.

yes we will do a Z32, but not now. it is on our list of the LS swap projects, probably will start it next year and hopefully get products available Q2 2013.

I think it'd be wise to develop a set of long tubes that will work with the John's Cars mounts too. There are already countless swaps done using his kit (I have done about 25 customers cars myself with his kit). I can guarantee that almost no one who has already completed the swap will go back and switch to your mounting kit just to use your headers.
Just my opinion.

While we're waiting on some parts for the LS swap, we put an RB25 into the Z, working on another RB swap kit. this is not related to this thread, but it is so nice, we wanted to share, it looks sick...

Back on track. Got the trial production of the Aluminum Mounting Plate done, we will be testing them.
also got the oil pan flange cut out, will drill some holes and starting making the oil pan.
header and driveshaft mock up should be done within 1 week, so the kit is getting pieces together...

I want to do a LS1 swap on my 240. More HP and less headache in the long run. Any downsideo ther than it being a V8 guzzler and being Illegal in CA?

This is exciting. I always wished that a company like Sikky made mounts for an ls1 in an S30. The JCI kit is garbage.
Looks like you might know what you're doing lol.
