Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I just picked up an 89' fastback with a blown SOHC, I know a buddy who has an KA24DE. So I figured I could swap it easy.

I plan on removing the power steering and AC, so I don't think I need to work about the lines. I was just wondering about the Harness, should I be using both the KA24DE upper and lower harness? because I know I need the ECU which I'll have and also the cluster which I have. So just wondering what all I'll need.

or if it'll just but pull the bad motor and harness and put in the good harness and motor and ECU and call it good.

Please help the noob out. :bowrofl:

This info is all over the internet. There are probably more than ten guides that I can pull up in <10 by going to google and typing "240sx SOHC to DOHC swap".

I wouldnt recommend taking out the power steering, the rack isnt really designed for it. I tried it for a while, its overly heavy steering at any speed.

Yea, I ended up switching the lines from the single to the dual lines. but did delete the A/C because the lines didn't match up.
