Alrighty, so Ive been pulling some hair out trying to determine the best route for my mechanical gauges.
I understand Electric is way easier and I have debated selling these and just getting electrical gauges. However, I bought a whole set for a good deal so this is why I'm taking this route.
I have some Autometer gauges (Pro-Comp Ultra Lite series) I purchased that I need to install in my SR20 and I'm trying to determine the most effective way possible to install these.
1st gauge is a Oil Temp and 2nd is Water Temp, both have the exact probe on them.

On my oil filter relocation unit I have 2 ports for oil temp and pressure however it It seems the probe is too big to fit in these as I believe these ports are for smaller electrical probes.
Here is what the probe looks like

Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can install the mechanical oil temp gauge(other than welding a bung into the pan or if their is some way to make it work on the oil relocation unit ports? I know their is also the stock sensor next to the oil filter with similar sizes to the ports on the oil filter relocation unit.
Also, any input on the best way to install the mechanical water gauge . Is it similar to installing a Radiator Hose Adapter on the hose?
Please answer or shed some light if you have any experience and have installed mechanical gauges yourself.
Thank you very much!
