so i just got done installing my godspeed intake manifold on my ka. it ran fine before the install. now that i have everything hooked up and ready to go, i have no spark or fuel. the pump wont prime and only works if hotwired. im getting power at the dizzy but not at the coil. something that controls the fuel and spark must have gone bad or im missing something that i didnt hook up. anyone have any ideas? im stuck at my buddies house with no running car to leave.

so when using a test light to test the ecu pin for output i get the fuel pump to prime when the test light is connected... does that mean the ecu is no providing the ground for the fuel pump relay?

Put the stock back on. It's more betterer. Aftermarket manifolds only gain HP when making big numbers. Obviously from your problem it's worthless anyways

that doesnt really help his problem... did you reinstall all of the sensors? you have to be missing something somewhere...

did you put the ground back on that you unbolted from the oem intake manifold?

This...
That is one of the main grounds for the ecu and if its loose or disconnected then you get no ecu pretty much.

^agreed, make sure all grounds are connected back up. This isnt one of those times to say "I did it all by myself and look at all these extra parts I have too"

double checked everything. all grounds are hooked up and all plugs are hooked up correctly. i cut and stripped the yellow and black wire that goes to the red connector in the engine bay. i hooked 12 volts to it and the fuel pump ran. does that mean my ecu is bad? ive tried 3 on my car aand its never made a difference...

also, when trying to go into diagnostic mode with the ecu i cannot get the red led to flash. my check engine light also doesnt come on anymore when the key on the run position like it used to.

really stumped here. i have another wiring harness to try but its got some things hacked off of it. and id have to do splicing, im trying to narrow it down to my harness before i go hacking it up

problem was my harness. it musta had some cracks that finally broke from me moving the harness around during the intake install. installed my backup harness and everything is good
