On stock 370cc's? Make sure you don't run out of fuel and lean it out

Not bad at all. Seeing turbo KA numbers always make me want to do the same to mine.

i like it. spools under 4000 rpm and hits hard. i never got to drive it on this motor or my built motor yet due to both of them going boom on the dyno, but on my setup last yr i did which was a complete stock block with 115-125 compression. never burnt a lick of oil.

I like seeing this aswell, I'm so used to hearing KA guys pushing like 12-14lbs and making the same numbers.

I'm pushing 300whp on mine @ only 8lbs of boost. Good to know other people have made around the same!

for the OP. were did you have your maf located for blow through setup??? did you use the stock maf, or pu it on a larger piece of pvc pipe???

should have pmd me but its stock maf with intake adapter on it, its atleast 6in from a bend alittle agter fmic. i can run stock maf on the aem fic because when the fic sees boost it clamps the maf reading and uses a interal map sensor

Some results from my s13 ka24e with a number of different set ups: KA-t S13 full race, Brewed tuned AEM EMS (http://brewed-motorsports.blogspot.com/2011/07/brewed-motorsports-s13-ka-t-drift-car.html)

Bone stock ka24e (boosted at 95K ran the stock motor for another 5 years and 15K miles with no problems)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HRsZBfiJR5I/TlNSymkBgYI/AAAAAAAAAZA/onUK-K8nBSY/s720/ka_garrett_gt25_turbo_test_aem_brewed_tune.jpg

Then i did some testing on one of the new EFR turbos while at Full Race. (boost ramps up to keep the torque flat, stock head and valve train cause power to fall badly after ~5200.)

For no good reason pulled out the old engine and swapped in another ka24e (semi built with pistons and port/polish, still stock cam and lifter for now) also added ID 1000cc for future fuel options.

I like those numbers. I want to turn up the boost to 12 but 7psi is fun. You think the stock motor will handle 12. I've heard 12it is the sweet spot lol

It's really just all about the tune, more boost means a smaller margin of error before the engine will be damaged. Eg: lean afr or to much ignition advance. Stock ka is actually pretty damn strong!

this winter im going to a more legit setup,(holset, better intercooler setup) hopefully seeing how far i can push the motor

I'm building a Ka24E this winter, already picked up a spare block.

Planning on doing rods, and piston .. and tips on what should be done or upgraded?

Thanks!

headgasket and headstuds are a must. I'd do mains as well.

here's a video from a while back of mine Ka24det Dyno Spen's s14 kouki 240sx: 57 trim @ 15psi 366hp - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXjLLyy44hw)

I'd like to be in the 420-450 range at 22lbs

sounds like a plan, as for the HG , since I haven't been able to find any made for the ka24E people say to use the DE HG and just trim it?

Yeah all I'm looking for is a reliable 300whp

12psi should be fine. I'm assuming you have a OBD2 S14 since your using the AEM F/IC 6. If not let me know, I don't think that unit works with OBD1 vehicles. I'm looking for a new tuning method. I'm running 12psi right now but want to run 20-25psi. Currently using Enthalpy ECU with SAFC2 but looking towards NIStune or AEM.

Where's the kid with the modified SR manifold with his KA-T numbers? If anyone knows who I'm taking about I'd really like to know what he's pushing to the wheels or how his setup has handled.

I'm wondering the same thing. Been thinking of doing that setup lately but it's kinda abstract due to no real testing.

Yeah exactly. Nice numbers though especially for the OP for this setup. Great dyno! Glad to see more of you getting tuned on Dyno Dynamics!

Thats pretty impressive. Id love to build a KA-T setup, but living in California kinda kills that dream.
