KA24DE Engine serial Number

Was trying to figure out my serial number for my KA.. I'm looking
towards the upper right side where the tranny mounts..
Can anyone tell me how many number/letters I'm looking for?

xxxxxx-x ? Is the format? 6 Numbers and a letter?

looked at the fsm in general info and engine mechanical and couldn't find an answer for how many characters. are you looking in the correct place? idk your year buy mines a 96 http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/240sx/1996/gi.pdf on page 35 it says sn is to the upper left as you look where the tranny mounts to the engine

Yeah, that's where I got the numbers from. Just trying to verify how many numbers on the serial i should be looking for because some of it is hard to read.. not sure if I'm missing a number/letter..
