I'm rebuilding my rear calipers on my '90 fast back. I haven't been able to find 240 rebuild threads or anything like that. Is there anyone that has done this that can help me out like with some tips, tricks etc.? I'm struggling to get the piston back in the cylinder. Any help would be sweeet.

it screws in.. they were a HUGE PITA, if you strip either the piston threads, or the threads in the caliper itself, just buy a new one from rockauto for like 20 bucks

It starts to get really tough to keep screwing it in. It just stops. I lubed it up with some brake fluid but that didn't do jack shit.

Make sure the piston is going in straight... They get tight when first getting the piston in but it loosens up towards the bottom. Helps to put the caliper in a table vice and use large sturdy needle nose pliers.

I recently picked up some Dorman kits from RockAuto.... going to be doing this soon. Can't justify buying remans when they cost as much if not more than a Z32 rear setup.

You can rent a piston compressor from autozone that compresses and turns the piston at the same time using a ratchet or wrench

Yeah I bought the kit from autozone so maybe I should just go in there and rent the tool too. Hopefully these get done soon cuz my car looks like its abandoned haha.
